So Sorry for the Unfriendly welcome. SJI has been booked for quite some times and we cannot move our guests due to the "No Vacancy" and when dont have available rooms to move you too, we cannot do. Its easy to do when there are rooms available. When making reservations with a 3rd party, its best to book rooms that say "Ground Floor" to make it easier for you. You book with 3rd party, 3rd Party books for you and there are times when we cannot make changes depending on what agreements we have with the 3rd party. Many ppl do not know that unless you work with the Motel/Hotel Business.Again, we are sorry. we will address the Unfriendly Issue. Safe travels.

Hmmmm, which room were you in? all rooms get abused daily. If we knew the problem, we would be there to fix it.

I love that river! It has so many moods.

Sorry, just like the weather, we can't control the guests behavior. Of course if it was scary, we have 24 hour security you could just pick up the phone and we would respond.

GOOD TO HAVE YOU STAY!

We are sorry for you disappointment. We have nightlife! Go outside and view the stars like as there is nothing blocking them, and they shine and shine. WE DO NOT BELEIVE IN SINGLE USE PLASTICS, and have never offered it in our rooms. There is a lovely hospitality room in the coffee bar to get it. Yes you have to go out of your room and walk, get fresh air, and be rewarded with a good cup of fresh ground coffee. Heater? All the rooms have heaters as well as hair dryers, obviously you did not contact the front desk as we we could have helped with both.

That is good to hear at least. I would actually call it old as we keep up on all of the maintenance as best we can. Run down suggests we don't care, but we try our best, and have no outside revenue sources or investors.. We are truly independent, work hard and save what we can to do improvements. Also, it does happen to be a historic property.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. We had a big group that comes here every year, for the last 10 years, they reserve certain rooms a year ahead. They do take most of the lower rooms. Then we had 3 of the lower rooms literally blow up with a sewer backup.We scrambled to get everyone a room at all that night.As far as dogs, the river access right by the rooms is a great place to let the pup run, sorry you didn't notice the opportunity..
