Great overall house for a long weekend on the lake. Not an actual lake view, but a very short 2 minute walk to the beach. Quick drive or 15 minute walk to the park / pier area. Both upstairs bedrooms have skylights, making it feel more spacious.

Wonderful cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Terrific set up at this beachside cottage. Great to have three bedrooms each with an en suite bathroom and then of course the extra half bath on the first floor. Deck space outdoor with grill an added bonus! TV could be replaced w a smart TV, was virtually unusable and could not stream anything. Lovely overall accommodations.

Clean, in a good location but lacked important amenities.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was in a good location, clean but dated a bit, and lacked several important amenities. There was only 1 television in the house that didn’t work properly. There were not enough linens provided. 1 towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 face towel per guest. The mattresses in the third bedroom were really hard and could have benefited from a decent mattress cover. Lastly, there was only 1 key provided which we were able to work around but it was inconvenient.

Great cottage next to lake

Would recommend! Perfect budget friendly cottage for a stay next to the beach. We loved the beach wagon provided. However no beach chairs or beach towels, so bring your own. Quick drive into new Buffalo to check out Michigan.

Clean & welcoming beach house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were coming in from out of town for the weekend and received the call that our rental was no longer available because of a gas leak, but this company was professional and already had another property available for the weekend and quickly moved us to the new location and I would say it was a great location and beautiful cottage and would definitely not only recommend but will likely book this cottage when we are back in town.

Great location and nice layout. Just needs some TLC requiring light maintenance and repairs. Old smart TV in living area that requires updating. Numerous light bulbs out. Lock box should be mounted and not hung on the door handle. It can easily be stolen and opened elsewhere. A keypad entry lock makes more sense. Shower heads should be replaced with an adjusted spray unit. Somebody needs to provide a more critical eye on the condition of the property.

Lovely cottage, very clean and cozy, short walk to beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Recommend including a pic looking directly from door toward house that is between lake and Colfax Cottage. Otherwise, pics are a bit deceiving as they leave the impression that there is an unobstructed view from the door, rather than a big house. Thank you for supplying firewood. In off season, consider stocking as a routine courtesy. Door lock was problematic but mgmt and maintenance were very responsive.

Cute house but Did Not Meet Expectations

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were satisfied overall but have a few complaints. The TVs were inoperable because there were no batteries in the remote so at 8:45pm we drove out to the gas station (come to find out it closes at 9pm). We tried calling the phone number and no one answered. The deck furniture is missing despite what it shows in the picture on the listing. 2 out of 3 rows in the grill did not light (probably clogged). The deck faces the front of another house, which doesn't feel private. The upstairs mattresses are very firm, my friends found them to be uncomfortable. The only view is of houses closely situated all around you. The place was quite clean though.

Colfax Cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First off- we LOVE the Colfax Cottage. We've been staying every year for the last few years. I have ZERO complaints but do have feedback. The place needs a bit of an update. The rugs in the bathroom need a good washing, the blankets have stains, the guest blanket has a huge rip in it. The light bulbs dont all work. I honestly love it so much though that i couldn't bring myself to complain about it while we were there. It just needs a little more love. When we go for two weeks we try to keep it very clean but there isn't a vacuum. Yes there is in the closet but to be honest, it is worthless. It doesn't even pick up sand. I asked the cleaner mid week and she agreed.

Great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location ! Only got 2 towels per bathroom. Had to take the trash at the end of the stay. Kitchen refrigerator wasn’t working properly so your food got wet. The master shower had mold on the tile. You are paying for location so that part was amazing. Needed cleaned up and a few things taken care of . Over all not a bad experience just not what I expected for $3k a week
