Ons nieuw gebouwde huis ligt direct tegenover het strandpad (strandstop 11) aan Lake Shore Drive. Het huis werd opgeleverd in juni 2018. Het huis heeft een open indeling - de keuken komt uit op de woon / eetkamer. Het huis heeft 7 slaapkamers, 4 badkamers, een volledig afgewerkt souterrain, een groot voordek en een beschutte veranda aan de achterkant.

Ons huis heeft 7 slaapkamers en 4 badkamers. De slaapkamerindelingen zijn als volgt:

2e slaapkamer - 1 queensize bed
3e slaapkamer - 1 queensize bed
4e slaapkamer - 1 tweepersoonsbed, 1 eenpersoonsbed

7e slaapkamer - 2 stapelbedden, beide met twee vol en 1 extra eenpersoonsbed

De ruimte

U zult genieten van dit vakantiehuis direct tegenover het strandpad aan Lake Shore Drive. Ons huis heeft een paar geweldige outdoor-opties: een groot dek aan de voorkant van het huis en een scherm veranda aan de achterkant. De binnenkant van het huis heeft een open indeling, met de open keuken naar de eetkamer en de woonkamer. De grote eettafel is geschikt voor 10 - 11 personen (8 stoelen en een bank). We hebben ook een extra opvouwbare tafel en stoelen voor 4 personen in de voorraadkast die voor een groot diner aan de eettafel kan worden toegevoegd. De woonkamer heeft een grote sectionele bank. De kelder heeft een familiekamer met 2 banken en 2 extra fauteuils.

Er zijn 3 televisies in het huis: de woonkamer en kelder hebben een grote tv's met toegang tot Comcast Cable en Roku. De grote slaapkamer heeft een Roku-tv. Het huis heeft draadloos internet (wifi). Er is ruimte voor maximaal 5 voertuigen op de oprit voor het huis.

Dit huis heeft het hele jaar door veel aantrekkingskracht. Het is geweldig voor een strandvakantie in de zomer, een herfstvakantie om de prachtige bladeren te zien, een voetbalweekend van de Notre Dame, een rustig besneeuwd winterverblijf, een ontspannen voorjaarsvakantie of elk weekend een wijnproeverij!

Visiting the Indiana National Park was the goal which we accomplished but I would NOT recommend the VRBO at Lake Shore Dr that was a 7 bedroom beach home. There was too many things in disrepair and did NOT even come close making it a pleasant place to stay. Some of the major issues include a non working kitchen sink drain, HVAC didn’t work after the second night, fire alarms going off at all times during day and night, cold water faucet broken on jacuzzi and bath tub drains not holding water. Also it was very unsafe for having a crawling infant as screen doors to front deck were ripped. No baby gates to keep crawling infant off all the stairs or a working & safe Pack n Play. After arriving home from trip, I composed a list of 26 items that needed the owner’s attention. Owner was notified immediately as soon as issues arose or were identified. I felt that I got a run around when corresponding to owner. Most of the things were issues that had been there for quite sometime.My husband and son in law have 60 years of home construction between them as well as years as a building inspector. The few items I have identified in this message are all safety and health code violations!

Book Club 20th Anniversary

This house was huge and the bedrooms and bathrooms were most sufficient and comfortable. The host was very easy to work with and accommodating on a few small issues we had. The access to the lake and beachfront was so easy and accessible. Beautiful beach. There were 10 of us and this property was more than sufficient for us. It does need a bit of tender loving care though. The sun porch was dirty and the metal strip on the stove was coming off. A few towel racks had come down and not been replaced but just left with the mounting hardware. Little things like that which made it good not excellent on the review

Tidy but microwave didn't work!

The home is tidy and stocked at the level expected of a rental but not super clean. The microwave by all appearances should function - timer runs and it makes noise but doesn't heat anything which is tough when eating out and with children. Overall a nice stay, easy check in and out, and great access to the private beach a short walk away.

Needs a deep cleaning

The house is in a great location and has lots of space but needs a deep cleaning and updates. We found hairs in a couple of the beds and had to wash all the sheets before we could use them. One of the bedrooms in the basement had numerous cobwebs in it and no one could use it. Not to mention that the closest is unfinished and the room has no baseboards. There is mold in the basement shower and every shower curtain in the house had pink mold on the bottom. The floors where extremely dirty and didn't appear to have been swept before we arrived. There are towel racks missing in the bathrooms. We contacted the host to express our concerns during our stay and got no response. The house is definitely not as nice as reflected in the online pictures. The kitchen is well equipped and the house provides many beach amenities but that doesn't make up for the condition of the house that we experienced.

We were a large group- 5 families. We all fit in the house with plenty of room. Kitchen and eating area work well for big meals. Beach access was perfect. House is a little run down, but all just cosmetic and what I expect from a vacation rental. I would rent again.

TLC

This property has a lot of space and a lot of rooms. The location was ideal. We had two kids (4 and 6) who could easily walk to the beach with no hesitation. We didn't have a stroller, but a stroller would have a tough time accessing the beach. The house itself needs a lot of TLC and/or updates. There were a lot of missing paint patches over the walls, cabinets falling apart, stained sheets on the bottom of one of the bunk beds, the dishwasher was broken and the fridge never got cold enough for drinks. So, for the price we paid, it was a little disappointing. If those things are fixed or updated, we will definitely be back.

Great location. Steps from the beach, however, the dishwasher was broken (we were told about that) and we were given no compensation for that. The property overall felt dirty and poorly stocked.

We had the best time! Location was perfect!

The shore line was just steps away and being out there looking at that huge body of water was breathtaking! It was cool but refreshing at the same time! The house had plenty of room the beds were comfortable and we all slept great! I had some questions about the area before we arrived and Collin our host replied within the hour with all kinds of resources and we appreciated that so much! We hope to be back again next year!

Nice home; needs some TLC

This is nice home and can be a really nice home again with some TLC. Main areas were clean, however, needs a deep clean. A lot of cosmetic fixes are needed. Kitchen cabinet door missing, crown molding missing. Floor bulging around kitchen sink/dishwasher...i am assuming a leak somewhere. A whole lot of light bulbs need to be replaced. TV in basement is broken...cannot see the screen damage until you turn it on. We did a walk thru as soon as we arrived and took a lot of pictures of what was wrong. Be happy to send to someone. Excellent location and neighborhood.

Great Summer Getaway

Our family celebrated Thanksgiving here and had a wonderful time. The views of the lake are stunning. My only reservation is that the place appears to be focused on summer rentals. For example, there are no extra blankets, just the thin ones on the beds. Also while there are two excellent gas grills on the deck one propane tank was empty and the other was one third full. Despite that it worked out great for our family. In our master bedroom the toilet roll holder was missing from the wall. In another bedroom our daughter said the first pull on the paper roll and it broke from the wall. This is the fifth year we have celebrated Thanksgiving at Lake Michigan and this place was one of the best.

Family Wedding Spot

This was a great place to host our family and friends who were coming into town for a family wedding. Lots of rooms and great location. It seems like it has some wear and tear so don't think it's brand new but the owner was super attentive to the repairs needed and made sure to respond to my messages quickly. I'd definitely recommend it for a family and friends get together!

Great stau

Was a great place for 10 adults and 13 children to stay. It was very cold and windy unfortunately but people still walked to the beach and enjoyed it. Lots of space. We didn't use the downstairs living room, as we wanted to be together. But there was plenty of space on the kitchen level. We even fit all 13 at the dining room table by adding some of the bar stools at the table. A few upgrades would definitely help: towel rack off wall on middle level; broken bench on deck by beach, definitely needed more than 2 dishwasher pods with so many people. A couple beds supported on corner books, downstairs bath had rusty vent and could use some paint.

Perfect for what we were seeking

If you are looking for a place close to the beach for a large (considerate of other residents) group, that has adequate interior space in the kitchen and living areas for socializing without feeling crammed in, this is your place. Although our group was made up of 15 adults, this house would be equally as perfect for a large family of various ages (kids would love the bunk beds) or multiple small families. We knew the area and were familiar with surroundings so it was the perfect location for my daughters nearby wedding. Because this area is comprised of many beautiful tightly spaced private homes, it is important to respect your neighbors. Others around us did just that and it added to our enjoyment of what the area had to offer including a daily visit from a family of four deer, tons of monarch butterflies and endless flybys by beautiful shore birds. The lake is two hundred beautiful yards away down a sandy path RIGHT across the street. We know from experience how hard it is to keep carpets clean enough (especially in a beach home) for everyone to appreciate, have enough furniture for everyone without it feeling crowded, maintaining that furniture when some guest just don't care as much as you do. So be realistic and you will build some amazing memories. My only suggestion is to replace the cot lick base for the twin mattress in the upstairs bedroom with a real twin bedframe. It's now narrower than the mattress and adult needs to remain in the middle to prevent falling out.

Lake House

The place is in a great location and sleeps a lot of people but it was not clean, bare minimum furniture which was old and uncomfortable. Provided only the smallest amount of staples - Toilet paper, paper towels, etc. (although he stated that in his instructions). Deck and porch furniture was falling apart. The place looked like a college apartment. For the price we were Very disappointed

A great long weekend stay.

The house was wonderful. Our group of 11 friends found the house to be a lovely getaway for a long weekend. When we checked in we noted a few small issues and the host , Colin, came to address them right away. The layout is great for a large group and having two porches is a nice bonus. We are already making plans to return to this house again.
