'Have stayed a number of times over about 10 years or so - is consistently good. Staff are always friendly and helpful, food is excellent and very good local beer is available. The rooms are small but do what is needed and have always been clean. This is a proper traditional country pub and we need more of them!'

'After a really long drive it was absolutely wonderful to arrive at the Sorrel horse. The room was lovely , cozy but spacious, the pub was nostalgic and the home cooked food fantastic. There was even a playpark for the kids outside. 10 out of 10! '

'Lovely hosts and a very generous cooked breakfast with quality ingredients and big pot of tea plus lots of toast! Room was very spacious and comfortable with a balcony for warmer weather - lovely views to the other side. Decor is somewhat dated and bathroom could do with update but everything scrupulously clean, loads of hot water and everything very comfortable. Could not have asked for more.'
