Thanks for your review Stuart and I’m glad you had a good holiday at the apartment and found it very comfortable. Great that you would like to come back again, that’s always great to hear. Re the Wi-Fi the network provider undertook a network upgrade on the first few days of your holiday. It was back online thereafter with better speeds. Also I appreciate you might have looked for TV in your own language but as we have guests from all over Europe and beyond it’s not possible to have TV channels in Spain covering all languages..

Hi Kathryn, Thank you for your review and I’m glad you had a nice stay at our apartment. The bedroom balcony has always been a Juliet-type balcony and has space for one chair and still does. The air-conditioning unit was placed on the balcony during the summer for a block exterior wall refurbishment. In relation to the keys, we have a complimentary meet and greet service at the apartment for all guests on check-in with our lovely agent, Sue. However given your flight times you specifically requested the keys to be posted to you in advance. Unfortunately as you did not return them for several weeks after your holiday a small temporary key charge was held by VRBO until the keys were finally returned by you. I’m sure you can appreciate that retaining the keys of the apartment for an unnecessarily long time on return from your holiday is not an ideal situation for apartment owners. But thankfully they were finally returned.

Hi Jean, Thank you for your review and I note your comments about the building works disturbing your stay. I am sorry that this was your experience. The coating of all the blocks with an environmental protection layer was required by law and was underway for some months during 2022. When it was your holiday the painting was taking place on Block 7 at the far end of the complex from our Block 1 so I can only apologise as I did not consider that as the works moved further down the complex the recoating of the last block would be something that would disturb any guests at our apartment. I stayed in the apartment at Easter when the coating of block 4 was taking place and I did not experienced any disturbance so at no time did I think about suggesting you cancel your holiday. I’m pleased to say however that this is a one-off upgrade to the blocks for environmental reasons and is now completed.

Hi Sarah, Thank you for your review and for your comments that our apartment is lovely. I am glad you enjoyed the newly refurbished kitchen and bathroom which were completed at the start of 2020. Yes the complex is an original complex in Calahonda which gives it a great location, close to the beach rather than higher up in the hills of Calahonda. It also means the apartments are very spacious as the block was built 30 years with plenty of space available to build during that time, including a very large pool. I’m pleased that you also found the complex very clean and well maintained. The complex has been chosen by many Spanish and some retired Europeans as a complex in which to make their home which I feel says a lot about the quality of the complex and the community spirit. Since 2020 the pool and gardens are open all year round for residents to use. The complex provides a lifeguard on duty daily in the summer months of June, July and August. The pool & gardens are available to use at any time and are a great bonus on warm summer evenings. In a quiet complex sound and will always carry across water, I trust you were still able to enjoy your stay in our apartment. Now that life is returning to normal in Spain our broadband and TV service is being installed to enhance the enjoyment of the apartment for all guests.
