This is a great spot. The cabin is right on the river and it is quiet, fantastic views, and as laid back as you can get. It was just my wife and I and we enjoyed the absolute relaxation that came with staying there. I would guess that kids would have a great time also since there were several things that would entertain them like a little raised fort, swings and the fishing dock. We had a really lovable local dog come by everyday wanting to play ball or chase a stick. I think he was from a cabin up river a little ways. The property is about 300-400 feet wide at the river with about 6-7 other cabins along the same stretch of river. We never saw other people even though you could see a couple of cabins from the back yard. I would guess the original cabin was built 75 years ago or so based on the type of rock work done, but it is well updated and quite sufficient. The kitchen is a small single wall affair but well equipped and stocked with everything you need. They do provide a pod coffee maker, but bring your own pods if you want regular coffee, not decaffeinated. There is one and one-half baths, both downstairs so anyone staying upstairs in the open loft has to come down. Not really a problem if you are reasonably young. The shower is really good (an important factor in my mind). Cell service (Verizon) and Wi-Fi are reasonably good - had no significant problems with either. There is a water softener and the quality of the water is very good. I have no negatives to report. We will plan to go back. If you want quite, relaxing, private space on the river then go.
