Had everything we needed, short walk to local restaurants. Interior stairs are a little arduous, outdoor stairs are easier with bags. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean.

Awesome location!
Gary’s adorable apartment was perfect for our visit to the delightful village of Mill Valley. Best part was the location! Open the door and in seconds you are sipping coffee at charming cafes and strolling in stores and boutiques. You are close by to great walking trails. The apartment itself is super cute and clean. Loved the gas fireplace to take the chill off in the mornings. Bathrooms are very “cozy” i.e. tiny, but completely functional and clean. Gary was immediately responsive to my texts. Great place!

Amazing Location!
You cannot beat the location of this apartment, just steps away from everything. The apartment itself was very nice and cozy. It was the perfect place for us during our stay. I would stay here again if I needed to be back in the Bay Area for work.

Nice place with a couple of items to keep in mind.
Well maintained property, located smack dab in the middle of downtown Mill Valley. Overall we enjoyed the property. Several items to be aware of: 1) Garbage trucks come early in the morning almost every day to service surrounding businesses; 2) Need to climb a short but slightly steep staircase to enter apartment level; and lastly, 3) NO TV. Owner informed us that they had removed their TV the day before we arrived! Not a deal breaker but it was included as an amenity in the pricing of the property when we booked it. Fortunately, there is lots to do in the surroundings area but we were not informed in a timely manner to give us the opportunity to make another reservation.

Comfort for Singles in Mill Valley
The apt is like no other vacation rental. It features 3 private comfy bedrooms! A private bedroom is a dream for single travelers.Usually singles are crowded into two beds in one room. Here you can sink into the most comfy mattress ever and rest in between your adventures or scheduled workshops. You will have luscious comfort, privacy and convenience as well as a beautiful living room or outdoor space to reunite with loved ones. The apt gives you access to many shops and restaurants as well as a home kitchen stocked with everything you need to eat at home or to prepare lunch for the next day's trip to Point Reyes or Tennessee Valley for an inspiring hike.

Wonderful Stay in Mill Valley
Mill Valley is one of my favorite places on the planet. The apartment was located in the heart of downtown. It was the perfect size for my family. Was super nice the cupboard had all the basics needed for cooking: spices, olive oil, ect. And coffee filters. Check in was super easy so was check out. I will definitely be staying here again in the future. If you want to go into SF, it's only about a 20 minute drive, but there's plenty to do in surrounding redwood forests and Marin County.

We initially booked this as the map showed it was in the village centre.However, it is a good 25 mins uphill from the centre. A lovely place but not convenient for the village. A car is needed for shopping etc. would stay again but bring the car.

Wonderful stay in Mill Valley
The apartment is right in town; close to shops, restaurants and hiking trails. It was well stocked with all the necessities. Wonderful gas fireplace and and big TV. Gary was very responsive and accommodating. My daughter and I throughly enjoyed our stay!

Excellent stay in Mill Valley!
Gary's home was absolutely perfect for our stay in Mill Valley! We were in town for my son's wedding at the Mill Valley Art Center and the location of the property was 1 block away. The home is in the ideal location of town so you can walk to restaurants, shops and grocery store. Also, Gary is a super star host, if I could give him more than 5 stars I would!!

The Perfect Stay
I rented this apartment for myself and my family during my intimate wedding at the Outdoor Art Club. It's located down the street from OAC. My wedding planner was blown away by the apartment and the location and will recommend it to her other brides. It's beautifully appointed and decorated and has an abundance of natural light. It was perfect for my getting-ready photos! My family loved the apartment and location! Comfortable, well-appointed with plenty of space for six adults to enjoy! Easy to walk to eateries, a grocery store, and cute shops. Communication with Gary, the landlord, was welcoming, clear, courteous, and prompt. Very much appreciated! I highly, highly recommend this apartment! It was perfect for me and my family.

Perfect location for wedding weekend/tour area
15 minutes from a wedding at Cavallo Point - then lots of sightseeing (15 minutes to Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods) (20 minutes to Sonoma Wine Country). Gary's place was very comfortable for 3 couples (all family). The location could not be better - 3 coffee shops within 1 minute walk, lots of stores, restaurants. Fantastic Spot!
Our family of five (including our 24, 22, and 20 year olds) had a wonderful time in Mill Valley. We arrived after a short trip to Yosemite and a wine tasting in Napa. We used it as our launching point for trips to SF, Alcatraz, Muir Woods, etc. When we came home, we had an incredibly comfy home for relaxing and unwinding. The living spaces were beautifully decorated and big enough for the five of us. The beds and pillows were perfect for an afternoon nap and a good night's sleep. We enjoyed the coffee shops, breakfast place across the street and several restaurants within walking distance of our Mill Valley home. The kitchen was nicely equipped and we appreciated the coffee and fresh fruit which Gary left for us. The shampoos and soaps were a very nice touch. We appreciated having a dedicated parking spot, too. This place was a bit of a splurge for us, and totally worth it!!

Great location and place with a more than super host
After reading great reviews on our host Gary, we can say the he exceeded our expectations by far always trying to give the best experience to his guests. After many communications with Gary, I can say that he is a genuine, honest and generous person by nature and always trying to help. He really goes the extra mile for others and that shows in his place with all the attention to detail and as a result, we felt at home. My family (Spouse, young kid and mother in-law) really enjoyed living there for nearly 2 weeks and appreciated the location as it is at a walkable distance to everything (downtown, groceries, restaurants, parks and trails), the cleanliness of the place with all the equipment necessary and even a fun backward with picnic table and BBQ. Great little place in Town
Gary was great with all his communications and all questions were resolved asap:). The apartment is clean and comfortable and located right in town. Access to all restaurants and shopping are steps from door. Husband and adult son worked remote from apartment and each had plenty of space. Lots of hiking trails and biking right out the door. Fantastic location for San Francisco visit or escape
Gary was very helpful and his apartment is exactly as advertised. There was nothing that he hadn’t thought of and all five of us were very comfortable in the apartment. We had everything we needed and we loved the location, with a short walk to shops and restaurants. Mill Valley was a really nice town, close to Muir Woods and a short drive (about 15 minutes) across the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco. It was also nice to escape back to Mill Valley after spending the day in San Francisco. It was a rare find to have an apartment where we could park our car off the street. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone interested in a visit to the Bay Area and would stay there again if we had the opportunity.

Great Place in a Wonderful Location
My family of 6 had such a great vacation stay at Gary's home in Mill Valley. The furnishings were good, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked well enough for us to be able to cook a few meals and we had ample space to relax and enjoy the home and outside patio. We love Mill Valley and this location was ideal for us to enjoy our side trips to Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, Muir Beach and the great little towns all around us. We were thrilled with the convenient location and took advantage of all the shops, restaurants, scenery and trails right out the front door. Gary, we can't thank you enough for sharing your lovely home with us. You thought of everything to make your VRBO a great place to stay. We wanted for nothing and can't wait to return.

Wedding Weekend
Pros: roomy, 2 bath, comfortable beds, off-street parking Cons: VERY noisy neighborhood; dogs barking from property in rear, constant noise from cars and people in parking lot of businesses next door, and the constant noise from dishes at the bar/restaurant across the street, 2 fairly long staircases in and out to the 2nd floor! We received complaints through the owner from the downstairs occupants that our 20 month old granddaughter(coming from EST) was up and running around the place at 5 am, her 8 am. We were told it sounds like someone using a hammer during construction! Well, I'm sorry but they knew we were bringing a young child, so perhaps they shouldn't have rented to us knowing that the set-up is so poor in restricting the sound carrying.

The beds were very comfortable, kitchen delightful with an amazing supply of condiments and food items, cozy living room, and an extremely responsive and helpful host. The only minor problem we had was our big truck and the long narrow driveway. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location. No car needed. Walk everywhere. Conscientious host. Not fancy. Very comfortable. Could use more plates, glasses, etc so don’t have to keep washing. It is a small city. So there is noise-early morning trash pickup, neighbors up early, etc. But it also means you can get coffee, a meal or just about anything you need. Sorry to see bookstore closed!

After reading the reviews, I figured Gary had a lot to live up to. So I locked myself out of the apartment and left some things behind. He couldn’t have been better about both mishaps. We loved our stay in Mill Valley! It was an easy Uber to San Francisco and a fun drive to Muir Woods. The hiking in the area is absolutely lovely. Hiked the Dipsea trail and walked to Cascade Falls without getting in the car. The food and shopping in Mill Valley was really good and walkable. It’s only about a 10-minute-drive to Sausalito. The condo was well-stocked with everything from games to shampoo.

We enjoyed our stay, and the property manager was great in communicating with us prior to our arrival, and during our time there. The parking spot is tight for a larger vehicle, and the house was a little difficult to spot, when we arrived late at night. Overall, a very good experience.

We love staying in Mill Valley when we visit the Bat area.... and this was a perfect spit. Truly great location to walking around the town & driving into the city. Our stay was amazing thanks to this apartment! Location made it simple to explore town, shop, eat and take a toddler to the park all by foot! Convenient to San Francisco and other attractions like Muir Woods/Muir Beach. Great Location and Comfortable Living Space
Gary's condo was a great choice and a good value. We stay in 3-5 HomeAway properties a year and this one was especially well appointed. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the bathroom and butter, coffee, sugar, syrup, olive oil, foil, storage bags etc. in the kitchen. Appreciated the washer/dryer too. So nice to not have to buy EVERYTHING. I'm not sure that this is the best choice for families with children. Seems like the noise in the second floor travels easily to the first floor tenant if they are going to run around. Also, the unit is nicely updated, but understand this is an older home. Bathrooms are tight and you will need either/both the windows and fireplace to control the temperature. Fans and heaters are well located and we were very comfortable. The dining room was a great size and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. Mill Valley was a cute and quiet town, close to Muir Woods and Muir Overlook and we really enjoyed eating at Playa...practically across the street. The ferry out of Larkspur was a great way to avoid weekday traffic but we found it fast and inexpensive to drive in on the weekend. 20 minutes and plenty of meters available.

Huge spaces beautifully done home. Bedrooms enormous with one bath suite. That was a surprise. Gary thank you for letting us stay with you. I felt like a pampered guest with the wine gift Peetscoffee and all the touches Id come back in a heartbeat only wish our trip had been longer. Fun Mill Valley outside our door. Sigh❤️
