WATER VOORZIJDE - HUISDIERVRIENDELIJKE - STRAND VAN BROADKILL

Maak uw hoofd leeg en ontspan in alles wat de natuur te bieden heeft, welkom bij Snow Goose, een lichte open bungalow. Genesteld tussen de groenblijvende en strandpruimen, op slechts een steenworp afstand van de zandduinen van Broadkill Beach. Twee slaapkamers en een badkamer, we hebben queensize bedden in elke slaapkamer en een lits-jumeaux in de woonkamer.


Broadkill Beach ligt aan de baai van Delaware, net ten noorden van Cape Henlopen en Lewes Beach. Broadkill biedt openbare toegang tot het strand om te zwemmen, surfen vissen en varen en kajakken in de zachte wateren. Als een natuurlijk strand zijn er geen strandwachten. De gemeenschap wordt omringd door Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge en Beach Plumb Island Nature Preserve, waardoor het een toevluchtsoord is voor natuurliefhebbers en vogelaars en andere dieren in het wild. Broadkill Beach is een officieel toevluchtsoord voor hoefijzerkrabben, het staatszeedier van Delaware en een "kenmerkende soort" van de Delaware Bay Estuary. Echt een magische plek.

Rehoboth Beach ligt op ongeveer 20 minuten ten zuiden van Broadkill Beach.
Het enige bedrijf in Broadkill Beach is The Broadkill Store, een winkel die door de lokale bevolking soms wordt aangeduid als de "Broadkill Mall", die broodjes, kruidenierswaren, aas en visgerei, strandspeelgoed, souvenirs en zelfgemaakte donuts in het weekend verkoopt.

Historisch Milton biedt winkels, restaurants en het nachtleven. Het Milton Theatre, gerestaureerde lokale locatie biedt comedy, muziek en eclectische uitvoeringen. Dogfish Head Brewery heeft altijd een feest, proeverijen, mammoetgrill en kookt altijd iets lekkers.

Kajak- en paddleboardverhuur is verkrijgbaar in de Broadkill-winkel. Leveringen vinden de hele dag plaats ..

Best beach cottage ever

Third year we've stayed here and we absolutely love it!! Clean, comfy, and, convenient!! Terry is easy to deal with, responds quickly to questions, not that we have any because this cottage is terrific (the only question we have is can we rent again)! Hopeful to come back again next year!!

Quiet getaway

This is our second time staying here and the house fits our needs perfectly. From the short walk to the beach or the close proximity to golf or Lewes for dinner. The house is starting to show its age but would not stop me from renting again. Power washing the house and getting a 5th chair for the table would go a long way. I would give the house a 10 out of 10

At the beach

The location is awesome. One step from a year round dog friendly beach. A rare find. This is a location to come to to get away and relax / away from the crowds as it is off the beaten trail. With that thought in mind the kitchen area becomes more important. While it served its purpose we are excited to see what Terry does to make even better when we return!

Very nice place to stay for a family vacation.

Overall my family had a very nice vacation here. We would come back again. The location is nice. The house is nice and spacious for the amount of people we had. The deck was very nice for outside relaxing. We had to cleen some cooking utensils and plates before using them. The path to the beach was very grown in and we had to break off some branches of the bushes to walk through. Also the head to the outside showe came off while my wife was using it and almost hit her. It went back on, but i don't think it is very secure. Aside from the small things, it it a very nice.place to stay.

Snow Goose Delivers!

Snow Goose, right on Broadkill Beach, was just perfect for a quiet friends' week for me and two girlfriends. The house is small and very nicely kept, and the location is a dream: on a quiet street, right down the way from the Broadkill Store and literally facing the bay, with easy access to a super-quiet sand beach. Plus, it's a really short, easy drive to Milton town center (with a small restaurants and cafes, Walgreens, a full-sized grocery and liquor store, etc.) and just a drive up the highway from the busier Lewes. Owner Terry was great, answering questions and making our stay easy. Recommend for anyone wanting a chill Delaware oasis outside of the more tourist-centric beaches!

The property is as pictured and offered everything in the description with very easy access to the beach. The fireplace has a sticker that says do not use, which was no concern during our summer visit. It was pretty clean although there were socks found under couches when I swept and cobwebs on light fixtures. The outside could use some power washing, though I understand it is end of season. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall. Beds were not comfortable. The house does not supply bath mat or dish towels. The check-in was easy and communication with property manager was pleasant. We would not recommend this property because the sewer pipe is near the outside of the second bedroom window and occasionally makes the room smell like sewage. It was prevalent enough that my young boys did not want to be in the room and I initially crawled all over searching for dog poop, it was at times that strong. I had my children sleep in the living room floor while we were there. We left halfway through our trip. I did communicate with the property manager who came by to make sure there was no leakage and was very cordial. The manager refunded our pet fee as we did not end up bringing our dog. We appreciated that gesture. Lastly, the beach is at times swarmed with relentless biting flies, which has nothing to do with the property but I feel the need to warn other families. DEET is more necessary than sunscreen.

Already want to go back!!

I think the pics must have been taken on a cloudy day because this home was so much brighter in person!! It was 95 and sweltering when we moved in,but the AC was already running for us. 95% of this home has been updated and is absolutely gorgeous!! For some reason i thought the BR looked like a stall shower only, but it was big, and that was also a nice surprise. Bring your food and toiletries and there's no reason to leave! Beach during day, deck in the evening, perfect relaxing vacation! Beach is maybe 200yds away and there is hardly anyone there!!! We left our beach gear right at the dunes edge each day...very safe vacation community. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, and most of all, thank you for allowing our sweet four-legged family!!!

Great little beach house

Excellent place for a couple or a small family who are just looking for relaxing days at the beach. The little house has just about everything you need including a great deck for evening sitting. TIP - Bring lots of bug spray, Broadkill is know for it biting flies.
