HONDENRETREAT - Omgeven door prachtige eikenbomen met verspreide kornoeljes, biedt deze hut met 6 slaapkamers en 3 badkamers plaats aan maximaal 13 gasten. Het hoofdniveau van de cabine biedt 3 slaapkamers waarvan een met een koning die we de meester noemen en heeft een kingsize bed met aangrenzende badkamer met douche en jacuzzi, de andere 2 biedt queensize bedden met een badkamer om te delen. De benedenverdieping geeft u een grote familiekamer met nog een open haard op gas en een flatscreen-tv met een pooltafel om te genieten van uw familietijd. Er zijn nog 3 slaapkamers waarvan een kamer met 2 dubbele tweepersoonsbedden, een andere met een koningin en de 6e slaapkamer heeft een stapelbed met een tweepersoonsbed onderaan met het stapelbed erboven. Er is een badkamer om te delen met deze slaapkamers. Dogwood het is een fantastische plek voor kerk retraite groepen of voor uw zomer rafting trips. De rivier de Ocoee ligt op slechts enkele minuten van de hut, waar u kunt genieten van een dag op de rivier met wildwaterraften. De gemakkelijke toegang verharde gemeenschap biedt rondom prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Wanneer u de voordeur binnenkomt, wordt u verwelkomd door de prachtige stenen open haard met houtgestookte houtblokken. Er is plaats voor 8 aan de eettafel met extra zitplaatsen aan de barkrukken. De volledig ingerichte keuken is gevuld met alles wat u nodig heeft om uw gezinsmaaltijden te bereiden. Er is een Park Style Charcoal Grill in het Firepit-gebied, waar u uw hamburgers of steaks kunt grillen. Neem je eigen houtskool mee. De grote dekken aan de achterkant van de cabine bieden een rustige plek, u kunt ook genieten van de prachtige vuurplaats waar uw familie hotdogs kan braden of s'mores kunt maken terwijl u geniet van de familietijd rond een brandend vuur. Geniet van lezen in de rust van de omliggende bossen of gewoon kijken en luisteren naar de natuur in deze vredige hut. It was the perfect size cabin for our group.

The cabin was everything it was advertised. The kitchen was the perfect size for making family dinners; also the lower floor allowed for great hangout space for the children & adults.

First Family Mountain Trip

The cabin was perfect for the amount of people we had. This trip was for my Mother In Love who is battling Stage 4 Colon Cancer. She wanted a Family Mountain Trip and that is what she got. Thank you for allowing us into your cabin!

Couple of issues

Overall the cabin was ok. Before getting to the cabin I received alot of paperwork with alot of instructions and you would think with all the specific instructions that they want you to follow things would have been top notch. So first let me start by saying with all the money that it took to rent this place I expected close to perfection. The place definitely needs a top to bottom cleaning. There was alot of dust all over the cabin. The main bathroom had mold in the shower and on the shower head. I found myself doing alot of cleaning. Both grills, patio table, and all outdoor chairs were dirty. I had to clean all of that as well. There spiders and bugs everywhere, literally on the ceiling and falling down into the bed, they were on the walls and floors. We ended up using all of the bug spray that they had. It was obvious that an exterminator hadn't been there in a while. Also as much as this cabin cost to rent, you would that think each bedroom would have a tv in it. Cabin is close to neighbors who were not friendly and its a bit of a ride to nearby Blue Ridge.

Girls weekend

The cabin was perfect for our girls weekend. Our arrival was too late to pick up keys so management worked with us. Location was convenient for our planned activities. We would definitely recommend. I would recommend bringing some extra blankets, there were no comforters on the beds, only a lightweight blanket.

Overall this cabin was amazing. We enjoyed our stay and everything was great the view, the house it was amazing. The only thing I could’ve maybe asked was if they provided more towels and toilet paper. But overall it was a beautiful cabin and a amazing stay. We had so much fun and we will be back!

The house was perfect for a ladies getaway. Clean, new, and spacious. The kitchen utensils could use some updating. It is out of the way but lovely once you get there.

Christmas Vacation 2018

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin was very large and there is plenty of space to spread out. The road getting to the house was very well maintained and is paved. Very easy to get to and the drive way is very easy to get in and out of. The ice maker leaked the entire time we were there. We placed a towel down so the water didn't ruin the floors. This must be an on going problem because I noticed another renter mention a problem with the ice maker. There were several light blubs that were out and needed to be replaced. There are lights in the kitchen that are up underneath the cabinets, be careful because they become very hot and will burn you. Upon arrival,there was a fire detector that the battery was low and continuously beeped in the living room. We had to replace the battery because my niece who has sensory issues couldn't be in the living room area where the beeping was happening. My 70 year old disabled father and my 79 year old aunt were unable to go down stairs due to how steep the staircase is. It is a very long and steep staircase. Keep that in mind if you will have older folks traveling with you. There are signs everywhere telling you, you will be charged if something is moved, broken, ruined,ect. It made it hard to relax because you were worried you were going to charged. We did have an issue with the alarm system right as we arrived and the property managers helped us resolve the issue quickly. When we were departing we noticed a car sitting and waiting at the top of the driveway. We still had an hour before we had to be out. It was a little unsettling to say the least. As we pulled out, the car pulled in right behind us. It was the cleaning lady and my husband confronted her. We have rented many places all over the country and we have never seen this before. She claimed the next renter had arrived at 7am and wanted to check into the cabin. We didn't find this very professional. She did apologize to us. We did enjoy our stay and the fire pit and hot tube were perfect.

The only issue we had was that the ice maker did not work properly and that the refrigerator did not seem to get cold enough. So that will need to get properly checked out. Besides the refrigerator and no WiFi, the place was beautiful and peaceful for my group of friends.
