Great place for family Christmas gathering
The house was great for us (8 people and 2 dogs). The two great rooms (basement play room and family room next to the kitchen) were both well designed. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The yard was bigger than we expected so that was nice. Coincidently, we brought extra blankets--which was requested in the house rules, but not advised ahead of time in the arrival letter--to put on the furniture in case the dogs wanted to sit up on the sofas. We enjoyed the ability to go for runs in the neighborhood and play basketball at community park. There is a nearby grocery store, which was very convenient. We were a bit confused on what to bring as the arrival letter from the property manager said to bring toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags, dish soap, etc, so we did, but the house had those. Other than that minor confusion, the communications were good. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Memorial weekend
Had a great time. House has thermastats on each level to keep everyone comfortable. Beautiful home with everything u need. Some boards in deck neeck to be fixed as they are warped and screws sticking out can cause injury.

A nice house near the lake (but not waterfront)
The house was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was amazing and fully stocked with all the cooking utensils and accessories you could dream of. The hot tub is a bit small, only four adults could just barely fit in. Important to note that this house is in a gated community with access to the lake, but it is not waterfront. There's a nice little playground at the lake for the kids. And the backyard of this house is fully fenced in, which our dogs loved.

Lost Paddle Lodge Review
The property was stunning and very easy to locate with plenty of space to accommodate our group of 12. The only and biggest issue we had was the lack of basic amenities such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soap, shampoo, etc. I would’ve assumed that such amenities would’ve been provided.

In regards to the basic everyday essentials and household needs, we do provide an arrival letter prior to your visit that includes information on what is and is not provided in certainty that you can properly prepare for your trip. Lost Paddle Lodge
The house was beautiful. Lots of room for our family. The games room was fun, the kitchen plentiful (loved having two ovens.) sitting in the deck watching the deer was cool. We would have liked having window coverings for privacy at night. And in the great room, the afternoon heat coming in through the large windows can be pretty warm (glad we came early spring and not summer.) But all in all it was a beautiful, large and comfortable home. The owners really try to make sure you have everything you might need. (Just FYI - We would have paid extra for the golf cart use.) We would definitely rent Lost Paddle Lodge again. You can tell nice people own this home.

Perfect for relaxing family time!
Everything was clean, comfortable, quiet and beautiful. It had everything we needed and wanted. The lay out of the house was perfect and we greatly enjoyed all the outside seating.

Beautiful property in a serene location!
This is such a gorgeous property. The house was spacious and had everything you would need to have a comfortable stay. We couldn’t have been happier. The location is tucked among trees in a cul-de-sac very close to the beach area. A friendly neighbor even walked over to welcome us and said we could use his dock if we wanted to! We would definitely not hesitate to stay here again.

Clean and well appointed. The layout of the interior is open, from the basement to the 2nd floor- noise travels bottom to top if something is going on in the party room downstairs. Well kept lawn, but one patio umbrella didn't work. Great neighborhood.

Overall a great stay
Everything was almost perfect, specially the location and the house itself. It’s super close to the state park, the winery and the lake as well. Only 2 things that bothered me: hot tub was broken and the trash drop off is a pain if you are checking out on Sunday. Basically, the checkout from house is 10 am and the trash facility opens at 10 am, so you have to take trash of a 3 day weekend for 9 people in your car to drop it off. Plus your own stuff in the car. Overall, a great stay.

A great central location as we all live in different states.
Updated beautiful home. Plenty of seating for just being together and playing games, etc. we didn’t have access to hot tub (broken) and rain kept us from using the fire pit. No direct access to water though it was very close, if that was important to us. But it wasn’t. We enjoyed time together relaxing and the house was great for that.

We picked this house out specifically for the hot tub. We called Friday night when we realized it was broken. We didn’t see a technician until Saturday afternoon, who informed us he couldn’t fix it. So we didn’t have the hot tub all weekend.

Perfect for Family Holiday Celebration
My husband and I used this property as our “home” for our VA-based children to celebrate Christmas and New Years as their schedules allowed. It was the perfect setting - comfortable, clean and all the necessary amenities. Beautiful home and location. We would gladly come back to this place again!

Perfect getaway house
We loved the house! The fire pit and hot tub was used daily. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. We enjoyed cooking in the huge kitchen and relaxing in the great room with the gas fireplace. We will definitely be back!

Family Getaway
Received detailed instructions upon confirmation. The place is beautiful and spacious. We had a great time. We planned to do work and school, and then relax with games and movies. The wifi was spotty sometimes for required connections, but we made it work. The basement fireplace wasn’t working, so we just brought down blankets for movies. The surround sound is great. Lots of foosball tournaments! There wasn’t any LP tank for the BBQ, so we adjusted. As we arrived, there was a large bag with all our bedding and towels. We had to make the beds and account for the bedding at checkout or get charged. We had to wash and put away all dishes and take all trash with us. Check out is early. The entire system is definitely to make it easier on the transitions team, but more time is added for visitors to coordinate and comply. It just takes away from a nice relaxing arrival and departure morning. It’s a great place though. Only minutes from the lake or a grocery store.

Perfect Bachelorette Getaway

Perfect Minimoon
House was beautiful and well kept. Had all the amenities my husband and I could need and want. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking dinner a couple of nights. House is in a cul-de-sac and it’s very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of wild life to see and ole ty to keep you busy in the house. Very much enjoyed our stay. My only complaint and disappointment was the house could have been cleaner in the common living areas such as the kitchen and living room. I am sure it was an oversight by the cleaners before we arrived. However the counters were poorly cleaned as was the areal rug and breakfast nook table and coffee table.

Great place that met our needs
All around this was a great property. The sleeping arrangements met our needs. The kitchen was well stocked and perfectly suited to our “each person gets a night to cook” style. The beach was a nice surprise, and saved us a drive around to Lake Anna State Park.
