Terrible Situation
Was told 2 hours before check in, there was an issue with our unit. No confirmation with me prior but stated it was the only unit available because of the holiday weekend and was left with no choice but to stay. 10 hours from home. Was moved to a different one. Was put in a 2 bedroom duplex. No beach view. Had to drive to beach. Surrounded by partying, loud noise, and smell of weed. Air was not working when we got there. 1 full size bed. 1 twin over full bed and pull out. Beds were super uncomfortable. Yard area was grown up and nasty. Parking was terrible and only had 2 vehicles. The place was small and we were literally on top of each other. Dryer melted my shorts! The door code didn’t work and had to call and wait on hold for a new code. TVs didn’t work. The “boss” was off during the busiest time of the weekend and wasn’t able to speak with me. Had a representative trying to be middle man & currently on day 3 of waiting for a response. Representative mentioned the owner may offer “a free stay later” instead of a refund. Overall, awful experience and will not book through this resort again.
