Art and Nature Lover's Retreat, 15 Min to Sequoia-Kings Canyon

  • Rustig, gezellig, inspirerend, gevuld met kunst: Fivespot is een ontspannende bestemming voor een week of weekend, perfect voor koppels of kleine gezinnen. Geniet van de boeken, de sauna en buitendouche, het klauwpootbad, de open haard en veel gezellige kussens en plaids.

    Strek uit en doe iets creatiefs! Voeg iets toe aan de krijtbordmuur of wandel naar de heuveltop achter de cabine en schets de omliggende uitlopers. Verschillende schilders en schrijvers hebben Fivespot al gebruikt als een persoonlijk artistiek toevluchtsoord.

    Er is comfort en gemak: een overdekt stenen terras, gas bbq, keuken met alles erop en eraan, en veel buitenruimte betekent dat u binnen en buiten kunt koken en dineren.

    Het hele jaar door comfort en plezier bij Fivespot:
    De zomer is het hoogseizoen in de Sierras, niet voor niets: de zon schijnt van juni tot oktober. Wandelpaden zijn open, dieren in het wild en wilde bloemen in overvloed. Maar wij locals genieten nog meer van de herfst, winter en lente: zon maakt plaats voor regen en sneeuw, het leven rustiger, tijd om te rusten en te vernieuwen. Fivespot is perfect voor een retraite buiten het seizoen. De weg naar de hut is sneeuwvrij en de weg naar de parken is toegankelijk als u vierwielaandrijving of kettingen heeft (wij kunnen u daarmee helpen). De open haard en sauna houden je gezellig; je hebt tijd om na te denken, te schrijven, te lezen of gewoon te ontspannen. Het is een heerlijke tijd van het jaar - overweeg een bezoek!

    Winteractiviteiten op en rond Fivespot:
    De winter is nooit ver van Fivespot: op een hoogte van 4000 meter krijgen we elk jaar minstens één flinke storm. Als je het geluk hebt hier op het perfecte moment te zijn, kun je met sneeuwschoenen de achterdeur uit. Maar de cabine is ook perfect gelegen voor vrijwel zekere winteravonturen - het is slechts 15 minuten rijden naar de ingang van Kings Canyon National Park, waar sequoia's de hele winter bedekt zijn met diepe sneeuw. En Fivespot ligt aan een goed onderhouden provinciale weg, dus hier komen is gemakkelijk. Sneeuw spelen, sneeuwschoenwandelen en langlaufen zijn de beste winteractiviteiten van deze parken.

Spacious 1 bedroom little house. Plenty of light and seating indoors and out. Very quiet & restful. Easy highway access. Excellent interaction with host. Lots of supplies available. Large restaurant within walking distance. Also plenty of helpful instructions given The heat sauna is lovely.

Our stay was very comfortable and a close location to both Sequioa and Kings Canyon National Parks. Mahalia was so very easy to communicate with, quick to respond and they provided excellent directions to reach their cabin. Everything was clean, good supplies for cooking, comfortable beds and seating and two great outdoor areas to sit and relax. Would stay here again!

The host was very responsive by message and was on-site to help with any needs- even directions for getting to the park. It was a charming cabin with a beautiful, private back patio. The artistic touch was also inspiring!

Amazing spot!

The house was perfect! Kids loved the bunks and watching the turkeys outside. The sauna and claw foot tub were wonderful after long days of hiking. Would highly recommend staying here!

My host could not have been better. Super kind and thoughtful fromnthe day I arrived until after I departed. The cabin was wonderful, clean, and peaceful. Loved the stars, turkeys, and the proximity to Kings Canyon.

Incredible stay!

Everything about our stay here was fantastic. The location cannot be beat if you're looking to visit Kings Canyon or Sequoia. Beds were comfortable after long days of hiking! Incredible star gazing also! Will look forward coming back here!

The hostess greeted us when we arrived and made sure we had no questions. She was very helpful. The cabin was clean and very nicely decorated. The sauna and outdoor shower were wonderful, especially after coming back from the parks. We would stay there again in a heartbeat

Lovely Property!

We stayed here while visiting Kings Canyon & Sequoia -- the property is 15 minutes away from the entrance. We loved the decor of the home -- lots of great art and 2 nice patios. A plus is that the owners are onsite and easily accessible (but they're not intrusive).

An art and nature lover’s retreatt

It is a very comfortable and relaxing home. A throwback to when life was slower, a quiet and peaceful setting surrounded by the nature of a Mediterranean climate and rural landscape. Amazing and cute cabin!

Everything about this property was beyond expectations. From the friendliness and kindness of the host to the location being so close to King's Canyon and Sequoia National Park, to the adorable field of wildflowers, and cozy, clean, and adorable cabin. The fully functional kitchen, bathroom with clawfoot tub, and sauna were extra perks! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in nature.

Cozy Canin

This cabin is so cozy and homey. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/utensils to cook easily. Mahalia was very responsive and helpful if there were any questions or concerns during our stay. The sauna was a nice added bonus as well as being able to walk out back and look up at the stars at night. We enjoyed the quiet, seclusion this cabin provided and had no issues getting to and from the national parks to explore during the day. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Cozy well kept up 1 bedroom in the woods. This place was a perfect little 1 bedroom, nice and clean. Very close to the entrance of the Sequoia/Kings Canyon Park. Loved the sauna after a long day hiking, and you can walk to the Pinehurst Lodge restaurant for some great burgers and cheesecake from the house. There were only 2 of us, but it would be great for a family of 4-5 people. Highly recommend.

Charming cabin in the forest!

Communication and instructions excellent from Mahalia. Cabin clean, well-stocked, very cozy and comfortable. Private and quiet. The swamp cooler worked amazingly well to keep things cool. No TV, but decent wifi. Great access to the parks. Thanks for access to washer and dryer! Would definitely stay again.

Phantasmagoric

What a unique and fun and overall beautiful property. A perfect little house for a small family or couple just trying to get away. The back yard was filled with gorgeous wildflowers and splendid views. The perfect environment to start the day. The house is just a short drive to the National Parks allowing for very easy access to maximize time in those magical areas. The sauna was an added bonus after long days of hiking in the wilderness. Overall this is a very special and amazing place to stay. Would book this place again in a heartbeat.

This cabin was magical for me. It was so comfortable, peaceful, and unique. It has everything you can want in the kitchen and bathroom. The bed was comfortable. We loved that you had extra fans and we used them. We loved all of the special artisan and craftsman touches. We spent time both on the front porch and the back porch. It was just serene. It was fairly close to the park entrances. The hosts were very approachable and friendly and helped when we needed them. I would love to come back.

Perfect cabin for Kings and Sequioa

We adored this cabin. The location to the parks was great and it was so quiet. We loved starting the day on the front porch watching the birds and animals. The owners have thought of EVERYTHING. The large iron clawed tub was amazing at the end of a day of hiking too. Plenty of room for my boyfriend and I, but definitely a lot of room for other people too. I can't speak highly enough of our experience at this property! Definitely follow the instructions of getting groceries before coming up the mountain though. The closest "grocery" is an overpriced mini mart with no fresh options. The included instructions tell you the best places to stop!

Great Sequoia/Kings Canyon retreat!

As advertised property! Family of five w/3 teen girls enjoyed this stay! Very clean and well stocked, thank you. Outdoor shower made getting cleaned up after a day of hiking a quicker process. Enjoyed the covered porch and patio morning and night! Was in the upper 80’s low 90’s and the Swamp Cooler had no problems making it feel great in the cabin!! Much wildlife around the cabin to watch. Would definitely recommend a stay!! Thanks Again!
