We was supposed to stay at Kendwa, but because of a bank fraud (!) we left the original plan, and booked through hotels.com at this place. We are very glad how everything turned out. This location at Nungwi is good. At Kendwa we would be stuck at our resort. Here we had more flexibility on what to do all the time.

'Friendly staff, clean rooms, pool with good upkeep and generally tidy grounds. Can't really complain about anything major. Even if it's not exactly 5-star accommodation they are making a good effort to cater to the needs of westerners. The restaurant has plenty of ambience and again the staff is friendly but the service is slow (this is endemic in Zanzibar though) and the breakfast selection is quite basic.

'when we were checking in ismail told us that there was something wrong with the air conditioning in our room. he therefore took us to another hotel, which was a bit more expensive and said that we could stay there for the same price if we wanted. we thought that air conditioning is good to have in Zanzibar, so we accepted the offer. therefore unfortunately I can't say much about nungwi beach front hotel. but I was in contact with ismael during the whole stay and he arranged several trips for us....
'Nice resort. Good food. Large rooms with nice showers and plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Security around the property made me feel safe. Beach is nice when the tide is out. Lots of lounge chairs available. Workers all over the property cleaning, raking, trimming the trees/bushes. Very well maintained public spaces. '

'Fantastische plek in Nungwi, met bijbehorend super restaurant waar je s avonds eet op het strand en verse vis van de bbq. Kamers (we hadden luxe variant) zijn basic, maar voldoen aan alle comfort: schoon, airco, föhn, koelkastje en zitje buiten. Strandbedjes zijn gratis en je zit aan mooiste strandje in Nungwi. '
'We honeymoon’ed at My Blue Hotel for 6 days and loved it! The hotel property is beautiful and clean. We chose the half board option, and really enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel. There are also several nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner that are walking distance.
Furthermore, the staff were lovely. We had a smooth check in and check out experience and the cleaning staff left cute designs with towels and flowers on our bed for our honeymoon.
