Brand nieuw huis voor 2009 verhuur! 4 slaapkamers, 3 badkamers multilevel woonkamer met een universeel ontwerp op lager niveau. Alle meubels gloednieuw en door interieurontwerper geselecteerd. Open bovenverdieping plan met 3 ruime slaapkamers, 2 badkamers, een woonkamer met open haard, een ruime keuken en eetkamer en een was- en pantry. 3 sets van openslaande deuren verlaten om grote terras met uitzicht op rustige baai. Sectionele bank met een grote tv in de familie gebied en tv's in alle slaapkamers, behalve stapelbed kamer. Lager niveau heeft een natte bar, koelkast, grote tv w / surround sound en een speelkamer. Beneden slaapkamer heeft koningin plus 2 singles, perfect voor in-wetten of aparte familie. Lager niveau heeft een overdekt terras en openslaande deuren naar de slaapkamer en een speelkamer. Een korte betonnen wandeling leidt naar het mooie diepe water, geen wake inham. Dock gastheren Tiki bar, schaduwrijke dek, zonnedek en floater dock. Huis zeer dicht bij de brug, winkelen en touring.


Ontspannen maar toch elegant: Grote glazen patio deuren en ramen toe open gevoel voor zowel de bovenste en onderste niveau. Een prachtig uitzicht op het meer vanuit het comfort van banken of ontspannen buiten op het dek. Enorme beneden speelkamer met een pooltafel en ping pong voor entertainment. Groot scherm TV in de bovenverdieping woonkamer, alsmede grote tv beneden met surround sound en 3 comfortabele, leren, loungebanken voor familiebijeenkomst. Alle meubels gloednieuw en top kwaliteit wordt geselecteerd door een intererior ontwerper uit Stedman House, Roanoke. Mooie harde houten vloeren in de bovenverdieping, samen met granieten aanrecht in de keuken en baden.

Afgelegen maar dicht bij alles: De Frances is gelegen op een diep water, geen kielzog baai met zeer weinig omliggende panden. Het is perfect voor een familie, pret, weg met tal van activiteiten op het water of genieten van de zon. Rustige omgeving is uitstekend geschikt voor de visserij en de natuur te observeren. Maar voor degenen die zijn rusteloos, zijn er tal van activiteiten in de buurt. Hales Ford Bridge is net om de hoek en biedt een boot en jet ski-verhuur, evenals putt-putt, nachtleven, restaurants en winkels. De steden van Bedford, Lynchburg en Roanoke zijn allemaal binnen een korte rit. De National World War II Memorial in Bedford en de Pieken van Otter bergen zijn op de rand. Verschillende wijnhuizen en boomgaarden zijn in de buurt.

Lower Level Design: Het lagere niveau klaar was gebaseerd op een universeel design. Een eigen gang leidt uit deze slaapkamer naar de badkamer, zodat de inzittenden niet door het spel kamer gebied te betreden. Het lot loopt langzaam naar het meer en heeft een korte betonnen wandelpad leidt tot het havengebied. Overdekte, schaduwrijke plek maakt voor het bekijken van activiteiten, terwijl het niet in de zon. Tiki bar met koelkast houdt eten en drinken in een gemakkelijke toegang.

Wonderful House-Wonderful Memories

This is our third time renting this house and we still love everything about it. Spacious rooms, hot tub, and a dock we practically live on during the day. Our grandkids have learned the love of fishing, kayaking, and boating here and of course the memories. I’m sure a fourth visit will be in our future.

Beautiful setting

The house has many amenities for easy living. It is close to the Food Lion shopping center and the Route 122 bridge. Unfortunately, the air hockey game was broken. Otherwise, the house and grounds are comfortable and scenic. (Taking the trash bags to the dump is a chore, though, I do understand why it has to be done.) A lot bigger than the pictures indicate.

Family vacation

The house was beautiful and very clean the kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed to enjoy a week at the lake. The grandkids enjoyed the pool table and the ping pong table unfortunately the air hockey game didn’t work. The only negative is the campers across the cove were very loud not the peaceful cove I was expecting. Chuck the picture on line show a view of the water from the house unfortunately the tree and bushes are overgrown to the point it’s very difficult to see the lake from the house. Overall we have a wonderful time and looking forward to returning in the future.

Great Location, beautiful home

Pros - This home is located in a great spot with a quiet cove and is only about 300 yards across from Jake's Place restaurant. Short, 15 min drive to Bridgewater plaza by car. Easy in and out location to the main channel if you have a boat. Really liked having 2 kings for 2 adult couples, a bunk room which had amazingly comfortable mattresses, and a basement room ideal for teens. Lots of fun was had with the pool table, ping pong, kayaks, canoe, and fishing off the dock. The hot tub was great for relaxing in the evenings. Bathrooms were clean. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Cons - A lot of SML properties don't provide linens or towels but this was the first time out of more than 20 rentals that I chose to bring our own. Won't do that again as it was a pain. Use the linen service instead. Listed as no pets allowed which was a deciding factor in booking over another property, but we swept the kitchen floor and made a quite a pile of black dog hair. A quick clean of the downstairs created an even larger pile. The two teens who slept in the basement were so bad after 2 nights we needed an urgent care visit and steroids were prescribed. The 2 pre-teens who slept upstairs were fine. Two of the 4 adults struggled a bit as well. So we spent most of our time outside after the first few days which was fine. Overall, it's a great property.

Beautiful home

This home is beautiful and in a peaceful cove. We loved the lay out of the house and there is lots of rooms for a large family. Jake's restaurant is in the same cove and they are great. The only negative would be that the owners need to update the pictures because those are from 2009 and there is no lake view from the deck.

Our extended family had a great week at smith mountain lake! The house had plenty of room to spread out, downstairs ping pong, air hockey, and pool table were a hit for kids and adults. Easy pontoon boat rental next to Jake’s is reachable by owner-provided canoe or kayak, very convenient!

Quiet Cove and Boat Friendly

Had a great vacation with our family- the house was clean and well kept! Enjoyed grilling out, playing pool, and relaxing in the hot tub. The 2 large entertainment areas upstairs and downstairs with sectionals were great for conversation, board games, and TV. Boat friendly - we used Hales Ford Boat Ramp about 15-20 minutes away to put in and pull out of the water, and tied up to the floating dock at the house during our stay. House is at the end of a cove in a no-wake zone, so no problems with docking in the water. Restaurant with docking and on-water ethanol free gas are very close in the same cove. Bridgewater plaza is a short boat ride away and has plenty of restaurants, shopping, and activities!

Great location, great property!

We were very impressed with this property. The driveway is very steep but it did cut down on the walk to the dock/lake which we appreciated. The walkway to the dock was great also as it was stone and graded. We appreciated having electricity and the mini fridge at the dock as well. Jake's Place which is right around the corner (on the water) from the house and a great restaurant to visit. We had plenty of space for everyone and the house was gorgeous! The downstairs was huge and very open with lots of gaming choices to keep everyone happy. We also appreciated having access to the garage for a place to keep groceries and extra lake things. Lastly the house is centrally located with easy access to Food Lion and Bridgewater Plaza.

Wonderful Lake Getaway!

We had such a great time during our week at this property. I couldn't believe how huge the dock was, table and chairs and recliners and everything. We hung out in the dock in the shade, or floated in the sun. We rented a boat and were able to find great skiing right outside of the no wake zone. They even provided kayaks, and just down the cove we saw egrets, deer, turtles and all kinds of birds. At night the kids enjoyed the pool table, hot tub, and ping pong, there was plenty of space to spread out and something for everyone. The kitchen was well laid out and very functional. There was a nice outdoor table (under cover) for family outdoor meals and also a big table indoors if it was too hot. A/C worked great, beds were comfy, bathrooms were nice, owner was responsive to questions. No complaints!

Wonderful summer break

Wonderful house/property! Chuck and Samantha were great to communicate with and very helpful. We had three separate families throughout the week and the layout of the house is very conducive for either everyone being together or for splitting into different groups at times. Being in the wake free cove is so nice for activities right off the dock (SUP, kayak/canoe, swimming and fishing). But the end of the no wake zone is only a few minutes away. Smith Mountain Lake is beautiful! And very large. We look forward to many more vacations at the property!!!

Wonderful home, great location

Beautiful kitchen, lovely cove, clean and lots of activities. There was enough room for the family to spread out and have a great time together. Location was good, close to shops and restaurants but also very private and peaceful, definitely recommend.

We stayed in September of 2020. The house is beautiful and well-appointed. We noticed the care taken to decorate and care for this property. We were delighted that it was spacious and immaculate. Everything we needed for our stay was available (with the exception of a hand mixer...we purchased an inexpensive one and after use, left it for future guests). This is a lovely home that is well cared for and very comfortable. If you have a large family and a small group, this house is perfect for your getaway! Beautiful, fun stay for social distancing.

House was wonderful. Location was perfect for us. Wildlife was abundant. Owners were very responsive to questions. Grill was definitely cleaner when we left than when we came. Boat house full of ants, needs to be sprayed, but not a problem. Only issue was that the final cleaning asks were a bit much when paying a cleaning fee (vacuum, clean granite, stainless and windows for finger prints).
