'The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

'Efficient and friendly staff, clean rooms with all the facilities you need. Evening meal and service was excellent couldn’t fault my stay would definitely recommend.'

'I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.'

'Although much about this property is dated, the warmth of its welcome, the high quality of its food, and the ease of parking (for £4 a day in the carpark across the road) make this a five star stay.'

'Prettig hotel om te verblijven, goede faciliteiten. Badkamer was wat aan de kleine kant.'

'Prettig hotel, goede kamers. Lange gangen met veel deuren en trapjes. Vooral met bagage een heel gehannes.'

'Good clean property, staff very friendly. Very accommodating for pet.'

'Handige locatie naast het International Telford Center. Fijne kamer die geluiddicht lijkt te zijn. Ik hoorde niks van de luide muziek in de lobby, terwijl ik dicht in de buurt zat.'

'Wonderful stay, special thanks to cheryl, the lovely breakfast lady '

'Personeel was behulpzaam en goed. Hotel op zich was goed. De locatie was zeer teleurstellend. Wij zochten een hotel op loopafstand van het centrum. Dit was ons ook toegezegd. Dit hotel lag aan een snelweg en was alleen toegankelijk met een auto. Dus waren wij afhankelijk van een taxi. Dit was zeer teleurstellend'

'Door was already unlocked when we arrived 28th Oct even though key was in secure unit which seemed a bit strange considering the place is shut on a Wednesday. Main light didn't work only table lamp.'

'Very nice stay. Quiet and kindly. The continental breakfast was a bit disappointed because there where no croissants available for everyone. '

'A wonderful hotel, everything was super nice, the room, (given a upgrade), the food outstanding, and the friendliest you could have ever meet. Definitely will book when next in the area.'

'Norma was absolutely wonderful, helpful and efficient. The accommodation was clean and tidy, shower was great. Breakfast was well varied and tasty. Evening meal was excellent. Bar and staff were good. Will be visiting again 😊'

'I very rarely post a bad review; I normally don't post a review at all if I haven't liked it. However, we booked The Croft based on the number of 5* reviews it had. On a positive, the location of this B&B is perfect - really close to the High Street. However, we've stayed in a lot of places, both higher and lower end, depending on our requirements, and I'm sorry to say that this is probably one of the worst places we've stayed at. The room and en-suite were possibly the smallest we've ever...
