Nice hosts whom deserve more guests.
To my surprise was the only guest during my stay. The hosts were kind and considerate. The room is small but tidy and in well maintained condition. Separate shower which is a bit basic but sufficient, the bathroom is en suite though. There is also a drawing room which you share with a lodger, a bit old fashioned but still nice. Breakfast gives you a choice between continental and full English breakfast in a very nice room.

Lovely old farmhouse with a beautiful garden! Noticed some black mould in the upper corners of the shower which will require attention! The stairs were rather steep for an old person! Otherwise it was very good!

Would not have guessed from front that building was a Guest House. Once found and admitted, all was good, but, after a long journey, disappointed to learn no licence for drinks! Otherwise very comfortable, very clean, and excellent breakfast.

A pleasant base for a visit to the area.
We needed an inexpensive place to stay when visiting family, and this was just right for that. The host kindly accommodated our dietary requirements and the breakfasts were really nice. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. There were very steep steps to get up to the rooms we had - they may have other rooms so worth asking if you have limited mobility - it wasn't a problem for us.

A quiet retreat
Amazing farm house. So beautiful and quiet. Very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good and you only had to ask for anything more. Car park was very secluded and you couldn’t wish for better hosts.

The owner was super-helpful. I arrived late after cycling from Essex (stayed the night in Oxford and cycled from there) and the owner was waiting for me on the road-side. Room was just what I needed and the bed was very comfortable. They even let me a borrow a usb plug. Breakfast was nice as well. Would recommend.

A little out of the way
The hotel was some distance from Monmouth. The staff were pleasant and helpful. My bedroom was up 4 flights of very narrow, low stairs.

Cosy, quaint and comfortable
If you're looking for a quiet place to stay, Church Farm definitely fits the bill. It's a delightful and secluded guest house, about 2 miles from Monmouth, plenty of parking and comfortable rooms. Although I had booked a single room online for my recent stay of 5 nights, I was actually given a twin room, but I was the only guest here for this week. It was a nice, cosy room, suited me very well for my stay and made a good base for exploring the Wye Valley. Would definitely stay here again.

Friendly Welcome
The owners were on the look out for our arrival and welcomed us by name. Good breakfasts provided and advice for evening meal providers. Well placed to visit the Wye Valley and surroundings.

A lovely house in a quiet location.
This is one of the best b and bs I have ever stayed in. The location is excellent, close to Monmouth and the surrounding, stunning countryside. The people who run the b and b are very friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and comfortable with an excellent bathroom and shower and the full breakfast was very good. I rate this place 10 out of 10.

Very clean but missing warmth... and a towel...
I arrived at about 9.30pm and found the house and the car park easily. But then could not find the entrance to the house (a wheelbarrow was blocking what seemed to be the main entrance) and had to give the owner a call. He came out and showed me to my room. I can't say that he was not polite but I can't say that I felt welcome either. A few words asking me about my journey or why I was in the area would have been nice. The room was very clean but I soon realised there was no towel. I had no idea where to find the owners to ask for one and felt I would have bothered them so had to do without it. No great. Breakfast was nice but again, on leaving, a few warm words would have been nice. Maybe at least taking me to the door rather than let me see myself out with my luggage. Or asking me if i needed help. Conversation seemed to be resyricted to the bare minimum. The location was convenient as I was going climbing at Symonds Yats and there is nothing majorly wrong with this guest house but would I be going back? I don't know! I'll probably be willing to be a bit further than Symonds Yat if that means I feel more welcome...

An average guest house; the place is very old and well in need of a refresh. I felt as if I was inconveniencing staff every time I spoke to them and my room was incredibly hot and had ants all over the bed.

Very scenic and accommodating
A very well placed hotel in lovely surroundings, excellent breakfast and very accommodating hosts who were pleased to chat and answer questions about the area. A delightful stay and will try hard to return when the opportunity arises again.
