I really liked that this was a newly opened hotel (less than a month), so I was excited to stay here during the Miss Louisiana competition. But, my excitement quickly ended. No valet & no signage for guest parking. The lot in front of the hotel has a 2hr parking limit til 5. I was greeted by a young man at the door who was unsure of how to help arriving guests (I'm assuming he was a bellman), so he just stood there. Made my way to the counter & was checked in by the most unwelcoming woman with no personality or smile. Need a room key to access 4th floor door to hallway that leads to some rooms. Not sure why. Only 1 towel rack in bathroom by the sink. None by the shower. Not even a hook. Bath robe is in the bedroom. No room lighting unless you open the blinds or use lamps. Awful noise coming from the vent. Kept me up all night. Front desk was supposed to send someone to fix it, but I returned later to the same awful noise. Informed front desk again. Instead of fixing the noise, their solution was to open the vent as wide as possible to lessen the noise, which caused the air to blow directly on top of the bed & my head! It was impossible to sleep with that much wind constantly blowing directly on top of me & impractical to turn the AC off (it was close to 90° at night). Worst 2-night stay I have ever experienced at this price range. Caesar salad with blackened shrimp was good, but small & overpriced. Bartender was the best thing about this place. She was FANTASTIC!
