Minerva Palace is very nostalgic. We have been coming to Montecatini for several years and I enjoy my stay each time. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site is very good, the food is amazing. I highly recommend staying here.

Fint gammelt hotel med bekvem beliggenhed. Godt værelse og god service i receptionen. Morgenmaden og service i morgenmadsrestauranten var på det jævne.

Pernottato due notti per lavoro anche se poi sono riuscito a fare un giro tra Montecatini e Montecatini Alto. Albergo ben posizionato con parcheggio riservato (anche se con pochi posti). Struttura pulita e personale molto cortese e disponibile. Colazione con un buon assortimento dolce mentre per il salato si può fare di più ….camera perfettamente pulita e con un ampio bagno, televisione di dimensioni generose ma lo stile è un po’ retrò e il condizionatore abbastanza rumoroso. Nel complesso comunque consigliabile.

A bit disappointing.
After re-reading this review I can see how any one item on this list seems small and petty; but in hindsight I still stand by the list as a whole. Everything stems from management's online descriptions being less that what was expected. Yes the wifi is "free" but you are required to log in with an existing Facebook or Gmail acct you must agree to some very technical draconian privacy terms before you are allowed to surf.Yes this is a beautiful old Building and the front lobby welcome was heartwarming. But walk up one flight of stairs and you see the age of the carpeting,while all clean; it shows its age. The same can be said about the "premium" bedding. Yes everything was clean but if the online page states premium and the hotel is not the lowest price for the area. I would expect new and top quality bedding mattress and blankets. Both rooms we were offered had the same nice 70's era floral dated bedding. Yes it was all clean and fresh but disappointing that it was not our expectations.The walls in the hall and parts of the room had normal wear and tear scuff and dings. Again acceptable and not a bad thing but the hotel is priced on the higher end and I would expect that in a budget motel not this beautiful classic location. Their are more things on this list like the poor flushing toilet or the less-than-easy "free" parking but I worry about sounding pendantic. The most disappointing was how one manager tried to play my concerns down. In the end we received a discount.

A gem for the price
Great place to stay, outside balconies so you can gaze at the stars at night. Really good staff at reception. Breakfast meh but could be the timing. Noise from other rooms.

Made to feel welcomed
Franco at the front desk was more than helpful in planning our day. It is not a modern hotel, but the staff are awesome, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious.

Pochi posti auto dedicati
Hotel bello, curato e pulito personale molto cortese. L’unica pecca è che il parcheggio a disposizione consiste di pochi posti auto, (circa una quindicina ) rispetto al gran numero di stanze.

Apparentemente tutto bene, ma...
Apparentemente tutto bene, ma due pecche: 1) il parcheggio dell'auto ci è stato garantito come gratuito, ed in effetti lo era, ma solo fino a disponibilità dei posti che sono poco più di una una manciata; 2) la prima colazione viene proposta con prodotti scadentissimi: succhi di frutta estremamente annacquati, cornetti surgelati, ciambelloni e girelle inconsistenti ed insipidi quasi peggiori dei peggiori discount, caffetteria dal dubbio contenuto fruibile esclusivamente dal distributore. Pur avendo prenotato due pernottamenti in B&B, avremmo potuto anche cenare in hotel, ma l'esperienza della prima colazione scadentissima ci ha indotto a cenare fuori; ovviamente senza spostare la macchina, in quanto una volta lasciato libero il posto auto non viene garantito che al rientro ve ne sia un altro disponibile. Ed il secondo giorno abbiamo anche replicato la prima colazione al bar, perchè abbiamo avuto la conferma della scarsissima qualità dei prodotti utilizzati in hotel. Comunque l'estrema accortezza e gentilezza del personale di sala e della reception ha in parte compensato questi aspetti negativi. Ed è un peccato, perchè la struttura è più che dignitosa e basterebbe poco per renderla più competitiva.

Gentile cliente, ci piace chiarire la nostra posizione riguardo al parcheggio, lei ha prenotato con Hotel.com e sul sito di default, da' "parcheggio free" noi per non generare spiacevoli incomprensioni, con i nostri clienti, che sono per noi importanti, abbiamo chiesto al gestore del sito, di aggiungere " parcheggio free in base alla disponibilità", ma il programma del sito non può gestire questa opzione. Comprendiamo il suo disappunto riguardo al parcheggio, ma vorremmo farle notare che non tutti gli hotel in centro città, hanno il parcheggio e quei pochi a Montecatini Terme non hanno più posti di noi.Il nostro hotel ha 76 camere, ed in occasione del Comics, i nostri clienti arrivano in macchina ed è impossibile per noi garantire il posto auto a tutti, noi di solito passiamo questa informazioni a tutti quelli chi ci chiamano o scrivono, in ogni caso al costo di € 3,50 al giorno è possibile parcheggiare nei posti vicino all' hotel. Per quanto riguarda la colazione, abbiamo tanta clientela internazionale, che abbiamo sempre soddisfatto, con un prodotto che i nostri clienti hanno sempre gradito, i nostri feed back riguardo alla colazione sono sempre stati positivi. Grazie per il tempo che ha dedicato a questa recensione, ma sopratutto grazie per aver apprezzato il nostro servizio in sala e in portineria. Cordiali saluti Hotel Manager

Ho soggiornato una sola notte per il Lucca Comics. Non ho avuto modo di visitare la città (che comunque consiglio). In pieno centro, silenziosissimo. Hall meravigliosa e piena di specchi. Colazione servita col sorriso e buono il caffè. Se passo ancora tornerei di sicuro. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Personale estremamente affabile e disponibile. Letto comodo, camera e bagno puliti.

Low season (november), 1 room with twin beds, 2 nights. A good stay, no major problems. Pro: private parking; very good breakfast. Cons: some details in the furniture of room and bathroom need minor revampings; if arriving late, need to wait a while before entering the hotel and/or check in.Overall, a good experience.
