Our check-in was delayed by three hours beyond our 3:30 pm arrival, which was a disappointing start. The room itself was outdated and showed signs of poor maintenance, with broken and patched fittings. We also found broken glass left behind from a previous guest, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and safety. There was a persistent mouldy smell coming from the air-conditioning vents, and we had to request Wi-Fi access and the complimentary water refill each day rather than it being provided proactively.
Housekeeping was inconsistent where our room was not serviced for three of the five nights due to reported “lock” issues, which were never properly resolved during our stay.
The food, drinks and pool were acceptable for the venue, and one positive aspect was the butler WhatsApp service, which was responsive and attentive when we reported the various issues.
Given that we paid premium New Year’s Eve rates, the overall experience fell well below expectations. The service and accommodation did not reflect a five-star standard
