'All staff were pleasant, and to me this is very important, with lovely welcome vibes. The hotel front and parking facilities is great. The hotel front and lobby is very welcoming to guests. Our room was beautiful, large, clean, and the bathroom was very nice and newly refurbished it seemed. The view was amazing! The sliding blinds were a really good touch so we could have the doors open. The restaurant was lovely and the food was very good! Breakfast is continental as expected, minimal choice...

'The hotel enjoys a quiet typical rural environment with lovely gardens and beautiful mountain views. The reception is warm and efficient with great attention to detail. The breakfast was very good, and we hosted a meal for our local family in the restaurant which was fantastic with delicious locally sourced ingredients expertly presented and cooked to perfection. Definitely read the instructions sent from Hotels.com to prepare yourself for the arrival as there is no standard 24 hour manned check in desk so you have to call the property before your arrival to let them know of your arrival.'

'My husband and I spent five wonderful days at Il Giardino del Rio and enjoyed every moment. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for short walks through Castel di Sangro, or for drives through the gorgeous Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo and its scenic towns. The best thing about the inn, however? Proprietors Davide and Enzo, and Adnan. Each one made us feel like family. We already miss them!'
