The space
Villa Monterosso is an independent house made up of two sea view apartments with spectacular views over the Cinque Terre sea.
Villa Monterosso is a short walk to the beach (five minutes), cafes and bars, shops, markets, characteristic restaurants, pizzerias via a traditional Cinque Terre stepped footpath. In about ten minutes you can get to the railway station and to the most important tracks, points of departure for new excursions and rail, car or walking point access to the other Cinque Terre villages.

On entering Bella Vista you will find a spacious open living-room with two big windows overlooking the sea, and a large picture balcony looking over the beautiful Rocky Promontory of Mesco. A comfortable sofa, armchairs, a dinner table and satellite TV are included. The bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom, completely renovated, with bath/alternate shower. Facing the garden there is a large kitchen, fully equipped with washing machine, cooker (with 4 gas flames), a big fridge, a stand up table with stools and a small pantry room. The apartment is surrounded by an ideal picture balcony as well as a small panoramic garden providing sunny and shaded areas, where everybody can enjoy having breakfast, lunch or dinner.

ALTIDO Italy wants you to have a fantastic stay, so encourage you to see the space as a home away from home - treating it as though it is yours! There are, of course, a few things we politely ask guests to note before their arrival and throughout their stay:
- Strictly no smoking, no parties, no pets
- Dispose of rubbish appropriately
- Keep the property clean and tidy
- Whilst washing up and stripping the beds at check out would be appreciated, it is by no means expected
- Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM. Please keep the noise down and respect other neighbours in the building
- Please remember to close all windows and doors when leaving the space
- Careful attention to the keys is extremely important. Guests are responsible for any additional costs resulting from misplaced keys or locksmith call-outs.
- To ensure the safety of our current and future guests, we ask all guests to complete our online check-in form and to provide a valid form of identification.
**Please note that due to local government law, guests are obligated to pay a city tax. This city tax varies between cities, and it is not included in the accommodation fare and cleaning fee. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Directions on how to arrive
BY TRAIN: Exit the Railway Station at Monterosso, in front of the beach turn right, and continue walking down the promenade next to the sea side. The entrance to get to Villa Monterosso is located about hundred meters from the Railway Station: just between two hotels (Hotel “La Spiaggia” and Hotel Baia) and next to a wine bar (“La Cantina di Miky”) there is an ancient iron gate signed n° 90. From there it is a short walk up a traditional Cinque Terre footpath to Villa Monterosso.
About the area
Monterosso, known for its lemon trees, white wine and anchovies, is delightful.
It is split in two: the old and the new.
The old town is home to the ruins of a medieval castle and San Francesco church, which houses a very special painting that is said to be painted by Van Dyck.
This is the most visited and accessible village by car in the area.
The new Monterosso, also known as Fegina, extends along the coastline. It is here that you will find the best beach in Monterosso (indeed, the best beach in the Cinque Terre), the railway station, and one of the two car parks for visitors.

The view from Punta Mesco is breathtaking. This spot is just half an hour from Monterosso, and if you love hiking, we`d absolutely recommend this trail.
Getting around
The villa is located just a few minutes from the train station and a few meters from the sea promenade.
- By train – you get off on the Monterosso al Mare railway station, turn right and walk for about 100m.;
- By car – it is the most accessible village by car of all Cinque Terre villages. You can reach the town with highway A12 and take the exit to Carrodano/Levanto. Then you follow the signs to Levanto. After you have reached - Levanto you have to follow the road SP 43 to Cinque Terre.
- By ferry – the harbour of Monterosso is the biggest of all Cinque Terre
- The property is located a 1-hour and a half drive from the Pisa and Genoa airports.
