'Not much could be improved upon at this beautiful, immaculate, well-organized B&B. Uta was delightful. The room & toilet were lovely, spacious, and wonderfully decorated. The view from our room (and even the toilet!) was one of the grand memories of our trip. Parking was in an enclosed area and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. You won't go wrong here!'

'The food is first class; the staff friendly and the room clean abd comfortable. B&B rate is a little higher than comparable hotels. Obviously you can expect traffic noise if you are at the front of the hotel being in the market square facing a road but we were woken very early by delivery men playing very loud rhythmic dance music from their lorry cabs. Hotel manager needs to speak with regular drivers about respect for sleeping guests. Lorry noise ok but NOT loud music. '

'Very easy going and comfortable hotel, beautifully located alongthe river Tweed. It’s well worth staying a couple of nights and use the hotel as a base for some beautiful hikes and sight-seeing. We loved the food in the restaurant. Best we had in Schotland. Feesh fish, crispy vegetables and a great breakfast ontbe 1st floor with a stunning view in the river. You can even bring your dogs!'

'From the booking description and the photos, it looked like a hot tub was included. It was not. Infact, we would have had no option for a hot tub as 2 were damaged and the others booked. Had we realised it wasn’t included, we wouldn’t have booked. The host explained on arrival that the deal on the gas BBQ disintegrated ‘last week’ the auto ignition on the job was burnt ‘last week’ and the glass plate to cover the job and allow surface space was smashed ‘last week’ so amenities were lacking. 'Great welcome from lovely staff... beautiful building, only criticism was the bathroom. It was large and spotlessly clean but it had a handbasin the size of a pudding bowl? and the shower was rubbish. It was a challenge to use, and the pressure was extremely poor. '

'Prima verblijf, een beetje gedateerd maar met karakter. We moesten een kruip door sluip door route afleggen door gangetjes en over trappetjes om onze kamer op de eerste verdieping te bereiken. We vonden het wel charmant maar je moet niet slecht ter been zijn!'

'There was no one at the desk. Self check in via the hotel email. Room was on 2nd floor up two flights of winding stairs not easy to maneuver with luggage. Limited food at the hotel. Did have free parking. Very old building not handicap accessible. Room was a good size and comfortable. Bathroom was very small couldn’t open the door all the way. Not recommended for older people or anyone who can’t do stairs.'
