'We had a great stay here recently. We stayed in Room 4 which is a tad unusual as it has no window in the main area. There is a window in the bathroom so you can have natural light provided the door is open. Not a problem for us tbh as the room was completely dark overnight. The room is quite basic with a small TV and a double bed (at home we have a king size, so it was smaller than we are used to). It was spotlessly clean.

'Very easy going and comfortable hotel, beautifully located alongthe river Tweed. It’s well worth staying a couple of nights and use the hotel as a base for some beautiful hikes and sight-seeing. We loved the food in the restaurant. Best we had in Schotland. Feesh fish, crispy vegetables and a great breakfast ontbe 1st floor with a stunning view in the river. You can even bring your dogs!'

'Prima verblijf, een beetje gedateerd maar met karakter. We moesten een kruip door sluip door route afleggen door gangetjes en over trappetjes om onze kamer op de eerste verdieping te bereiken. We vonden het wel charmant maar je moet niet slecht ter been zijn!'

Whilst they didn't have anywhere to store bicycles indoors overnight, we were able to lock them under shelter in the tucked away Car Park at the back. Overall ideal for our one night stay.'

'Excellent fewdays in Hawick.
Loads to do in Hawick, places to get food & drink excellent and Saturday's can have a real buzz about town if rugby club win.
That said Hawick High Street is a bit tired looking & could do with a bit of money spent o it. It has potential to be an excellent visit venue.
The Bank Bank House was top class. Donna (the owner) couldn't be more helpful.
