Fietsenwinkel. Priveparkeren. Niet roken.. Clutter Cottage is een fris, heerlijk vakantiehuis dat volledig is gerenoveerd in 2018, met wifi, balken, moderne keuken en doucheruimte met inloopdouche en toilet, en veel bergruimte.

    Het ligt langs de Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, op een paar minuten lopen van de duinen en zeven mijl zandstrand van glorieuze Druridge Bay, onderdeel van het National Cycle Network ‘Coasts & Castles’. Natuurreservaten en wandelpaden liggen voor de deur, met watersportactiviteiten en vissen in de buurt in de buurt. Ornithologen zien misschien de zeldzame gouden watersnip of bijenvangers, terwijl families van Steenuilen een flutter van genot sturen naar zelfs informele vogelaars.

    Holy Island, Alnwick met zijn beroemde stationsboekhandel en kasteel en tuinen, gebruikt in de Harry Potter-films voor Hogwarts, Blyth met zijn vuurtoren en Seaton Delaval Hall, Bamburgh Castle, Newcastle, boottochten vanuit Amble rond Coquet Island en Seahouses met boten naar de Farne-eilanden, liggen allemaal op korte rijafstand. Afhaalrestaurants, delicatessenzaken, cafés, pubs en restaurants zijn geschikt voor iedereen, van fish and chips en bekroond ijs tot meer avontuurlijke smaakpapillen.

    Net langs de kust van het huisje richting Cresswell is het populaire Drift Café en een eetcafé ligt op ongeveer 1,5 km afstand. Amble heeft een markt op zondag, veel eetgelegenheden, een jachthaven en winkels aan de haven. Een overvloed aan andere bezienswaardigheden en activiteiten, plus supermarkten liggen allemaal binnen een korte straal. Winkel ¾ mijl, pub en restaurant 1 mijl.

Best holiday cottage we have stayed in

We had a fabulous stay walking to the beautiful beach every day with the kids (5 mins away) and exploring the local area . We also went to the Drift cafe, Cresswell Ices and the Druridge bay country park. All fabulous (and can be walked to in under an hour) The cottage itself was perfect, clean and enough space for a family of 4. We will be back!

This is the second time we have stayed at Clutter Cottage and have already rebooked for next year! We find its location perfect for us and our dog. Walks on the beach directly from the door. The cottage is always clean and well equipped. Quiet, peaceful area with plenty of good food places a short car distance away. Large supermarket at Amble. So many places of interest within an hour cars journey. Highly recommend if you are looking to get away from it all

Only downside is the cottage is smaller than it aooears on the photos and the double bed is in need of a new mattress very dipped and lumpy! Otherwise lovely break in a wonderful area but you do need transport

We had a lovely stay (2nd visit) in Clutter Cottage and have booked again for next year. It is just what we like - extremely quiet setting, easy 5 minute access to a wonderful expanse of beach, surrounded by fields, all manner of birds to watch and other wildlife, nice pub serving good quality reasonably priced meals about a mile or so away and a lovely cafe a mile the other way for breakfast. Also within easy driving of Amble, Newbiggin, Ashington and Morpeth as well as the well known seaside towns and villages further north. Fantastic location .Perfect for dog walking Only downside was needed the car for shops Cafe was superb but was long walk along beach but well worth effort For first time out after lockdown with COVID it was perfect as no need to social distance on beach. Lovely cottage with every home comfort and nice having milk tea ,coffee provided was a nice touch as well as fresh flowers . Best holiday for long time enjoyed by 3 generations plus dog. This property is lovely and comfortable.

This property is lovely and comfortable. The owner has put a lot of thought into creating a welcoming home. A point to mention is the hob type is Induction and takes time to get used to if you are not familiar with using one. Location quite near to a stunning Beach and a five minute drive to a pleasant pub serving good food but does not accept dogs. Fortunately the weather was fine enough for us to sit outside. Nearby Amble is a nice place to visit with ample free parking and a selection of shops. We had a very restful stay at this property. No outside noise or light pollution and a very comfortable bed made a great nights sleep possible. We would return.

Our stay at clutter cottage was fantastic. The cottage was clean & well equipped. The fact the beach was just a few minutes walk away was fantastic & our cockapoo loved spending most evening playing ball there. It was quiet & the perfect place to relax. The weather was even fantastic for October - it was a great location to visit other beaches/places in Northumberland one of our favourite counties. We would definitely book to stay here again

We had a lovely few days at Clutter Cottage at the beginning of September. The location of the cottage is brilliant, very close to the beautiful dunes of Druridge Bay, and a manageable drive up the coast to Holy Island and Bamburgh and the other highlights of Northumberland. The cottage is comfortable and prettily furnished, with a coastal theme. Thoroughly recommended!

We had a great holiday at Clutter Cottage. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. It’s location a couple of minutes walk from Druridge Bay was excellent. Breakfast and dinner on the beach was great and our wildlife sightings of Avocets, Barn Owl and Seal pips on the beach was quite thrilling.

A great cottage, well equipped and beautifully decorated and presented. The location is peaceful and quiet, and not far to Amble and beyond. Ideally located for the beach of Druridge Bay and the excellent Drift Cafe at Cresswell. Will definitely be back, hopefully soon. Also our two dogs were welcome at the cottage and the area in general was very dog friendly, with many shops, cafes and pubs being pet friendly.
