Compleet en comfortabel huis op een unieke locatie
We verbleven er 14 dagen waarvan 10 met onze kinderen,hun partners en twee kleinkinderen. Het huis was uitermate geschikt voor ons. Het is voorzien van alle comfort, voldoende slaapkamers en badkamers, zelfs een aparte speelkamer. Het goed verwarmde zwembad is omheind en dus veilig voor kinderen. Ook het grote domein met een speeltuin, volleybalveld en petanquebaan is volledig omheind. Het is is proper en wordt perfect onderhouden door de eigenaars Aurélie en Jo. Zij wonen op een naastgelegen en volledig afgeschermd domein. Zij ontvangen je hartelijk en geven je alle informatie die je nodig hebt. Zij laten je in alle discretie genieten van je vakantie. De kans is groot dat je er nog eens weerkeert.

Heerlijk rustig in de Pyreneeën.
In een heerlijk rustige omgeving hebben wij, samen met onze honden, een mooie vakantie gevierd. Voor de honden was er op het grote terrein meer dan voldoende te besnuffelen en er loopt "eau de campagne" hondendrinkwater langs. De ontvangst door de verhuurder was heel hartelijk en zij waren ten alle tijde bereid om ons van advies te voorzien. In het huis is veel informatie aanwezig over wat er zoal in de omgeving te doen is. Wij komen graag nog een keer terug.

très bon 1er séjour dans les Pyrénées Orientales
Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine autour du 1er de l'an dans ce coin magnifique et cette maison très comfortable avec super bain nordique et piscine pour se rafraichir. Très bon acceuil, hotes très sympas. Le cadre est superbe. Nous avons fait des balades dans les environs, très peu fréquentés à cette période, avons même pris un bain à une cascade dans la rivière (certainement beaucoup plus fréquentée en été). Thermes malheureusement fermées, mais le bain nordique a bien compensé.

Fantastic
Everything was as it said in the description. Tge house was gorgeous. The kitchen was perfectly well equipped. Bedrooms airy and had the added benefit of insect screen that can be slotted in if required. The pool was heated and stunning. The garden has so much seating area, we were spoilt for choice. The pool is secure with a fencing and also the garden as it says in the description is completely fenced in. Even my little dog found it impossible to get out. There is an absolutely beautiful beach which allows dogs any time, it is Plage Paulilles, not far from Coulioure, so just over a hour away. There is a fabulous new restaurant just down from the villa, food is amazing. The property owners were so helpful they made sure we had the mist out if our stay. The villa has its own entrance so very private

Super séjour
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, la maison est bien équipée et fonctionnelle que ce soit en vaisselle, en jeux extérieurs ou intérieurs, beaucoup de livres pour tous âges et doté d’une salle de jeux qui a fait le bonheur de nos petits enfants. Quand le temps n’est pas au rendez-vous on profite quand même d’une superbe vue sur le jardin et la montagne depuis la salle à manger. Les propriétaires sont charmants. Si je dois émettre des suggestions je dirais que le grille pain est petit et qu’il est dommage de ne pas avoir de local pour ramasser les vélos, Je recommande cette location

Un très bel endroit des propriétaires à l'écoute un tas de choses à faire dans la région , de belles randonnées pour les marcheurs , une piscine au top et plein de petites intentions qui font plaisir . Un seul petit très petit bémol le grille pain en fin de vie un peu petit quand on est 10 .

Lovely 10 days
We had a wonderful time at La Casa del Gat. It's in a magnificent location in the mountains near Mosset with great walks and cycling trails. It's also pretty easy to get to the Mediterranean for the beaches. The villa itself is clean, spacious and well equipped - ideal for our party of nine. The pool is a nice size and the hot tub was an absolute bonus on the days the weather was mixed. Jo and Aurelie were excellent hosts - they live next door and are very responsive and helpful. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Relaxing family break
We have just returned from a beautiful holiday at casa del gat. We were a family of 4 adults, 2 older teenagers and a dog, there was so much space for us all and plenty of amenities inside the house to accomadate a much bigger group than we were, the house was clean and tidy, and despite the hot weather was really cool in the evnings for sleeping. The scenery was absolutely stunning and we spent so much of our time relaxing and simply looking out into the distance at the surrounding area. The gardens of the property are equally lovely, with lots of different areas providing sunny and shady pockets, ideal for us to be able to enjoy the garden at all times of the day. The pool is large and warm with the temperature not going below 32 degrees, Joe made sure the pool was clean and hoovered and we never had a problem. Joe and Aurielle were lovely hosts and straight away made us feel extremely welcome, we had on arrival a lovely basket of fresh vegetables from their garden and some lovely homemade jam which was delicious, Joe was always on hand to give us advice on where to go and of course kept us topped up with the most incredible tomatoes and courgettes, thank you Joe they were simply the best. We also took our dog and she had a wonderful time exploring the completely secure garden and watching the gekcos in the evening. Overall the area was lovely, and we would look at returning again. I would highly recommend this property and indeed the hosts we had an incredible holiday. Thank you so much , The Garmans x

un séjour dés plus agréables
Une superbe propriété : grand espace, calme et tranquille, sans vis à vis, des prestations à la hauteur du descriptif de l'annonce. . La piscine chauffée à 28 ° fut un régal aussi bien pour les grands que pour les petits. et je vous parle pas du barbecue, du bar extérieur, du terrain de pétanque (de très bonnes soirées de passées). Un accueil chaleureux des propriétaires qui restent discret mais demeurent très disponibles pour donner de précieux conseils. Le don de légume fut très apprécié. Une vue sur les montagnes à vous coupler le souffle. Vous l'aurez compris, nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour et remercions encore Aurélie et Jo de leur gentillesse. Nous ne regrettons rien et serons enchanté de revenir passer deux semaines dans ce coin de paradis. Ludovic, Stéphane, Sophie, Gauthier, Pauline, Thierry, Corinne, Gabriel, Angie, la petite Zoé et Nala (la petite bouledogue français). Encore Merci Aurélie et Jo.

Magnifique endroit dans un superbe coin des Pyrénées!
Propriété remarquable par son emplacement dans un petit coin des Pyrénées d'où on peut accéder à de très jolis villages et sites .Le confort, la propreté, le jardin, l'espace pour vivre à 10 personnes et la gentillesse des propriétaires, tout cela nous a permis de vivre une merveilleuse semaine. Traumhafte ruhige Lage mit viel Platz und sehr guter Ausstattung machten das Haus zu einem unvergessenen Urlaub. Dazu kommen noch sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Mehr Glück kann man bei der Wahl eines Ferienhauses gar nicht haben.

Grande propriété avec 2 belles terrasses très appréciées. Une belle piscine à température constante. Un environnement très apaisant : arboré, jeu de boules, filet de volley... Seuls bémols : le coût supplémentaire pour l'électricité qui devrait être compris dans le prix de la location + les frigos en mauvais état.

Une belle maison dans un cadre naturel
Nous avons été très bien accueilli par les propriétaires. Nous avons trouvé une maison propre, spacieuse pour nous 8, disposant de tout le matériel nécessaire. Bien sûr la piscine a fait la joie des grands et des petits. Le plus j'ai trouvé cette maison chaleureuse entouré d'un grand jardin . Aucune hésitation à avoir dans le choix de cette location.

Coup de coeur pour la maison, la vallée et la région !
3 semaine au calme et au soleil, dans une propriété que les oiseaux apprécient aussi. Piscine propre et chaude. Maison très agréable à vivre, Propriétaires accueillants et disponibles pour toute question. Des promenades et randonnées depuis la maison. Trois villages sympas accessibles à pied. A 20 mn de Prades et proximité de nombreux sites remarquables pour ceux qui aiment l'histoire et les vieilles pierres. Facile d'aller jusqu'à la côte Vermeille (Collioure). Des bons produits locaux (fruits, légumes, bio, ...). Ce lieu de résidence offre beaucoup de possibilités et de choix sur la manière de vivre ses vacances. Dernière randonnée dans la forêt de Mosset le long de la Castellane, magique !

Ce qu’il nous fallait !
Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances à la casa del gat. La maison est très confortable, très propre et très bien équipée. Nous avons énormément profité des espaces extérieurs (il faisait super beau pour un mois de décembre) pour jouer avec les enfants. C’était très sympa de petit déjeuner ou faire l’apéro dehors, les deux terrasses permettant de profiter du soleil toute la journée. Nous avons bien apprécié le terrain de pétanque et tout le matériel pour bébé. Nous avons été bien accueillis par nos hôtes qui nous ont bien expliqué le fonctionnement de la maison et nous ont conseillé des balades à faire dans la région. Vraiment, une super adresse !!

Großartiger Urlaub für die ganze Familie
Wir haben einen einzigartigen Urlaub im wunderbaren Haus von Aurelie und Jo verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr sauber , großzügig eingerichtet (Geschirr für Großfamilien und alle Gelegenheiten) und sehr ruhig gelegen. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet (ein Traum ist der Herd!) was man braucht. Wir haben regelmäßig mehrgängige Menus für 8 Personen gekocht. Das Gartengelände ist riesig und wunderbar angelegt, überall Sitzgelegenheiten unter Bäumen und zum Sonnen. Die Heizung des Pools garantierte angenehmes Schwimmen bis zum letzten Tag (15.09.2018). Der gemauerte große Grill wurde genutzt, auch zum "Lagerfeuer" am Abend. Wanderungen sind in allen Schwierigkeitsgraden möglich. Das Internet/WLAN war stabil und schnell. Wir haben einen sehr schönen Urlaub verbracht mit 8 Personen d.h. Eltern mit 4 erwachsenen Kindern, Schwiegersohn (25-32Jahre alt) und Freundin . Einziger Wermutstropfen: für den Großeinkauf in Prades ist es eine längere Bergstraße zu fahren aber im nächstgelegenen Dorf gibt es einen TanteEmmaLaden. Insgesamt bekommt die Casa del Gat die Note sehr gut von uns. Wir überlegen wann wir das nächste mal , dann vielleicht mit einer Gruppe von guten Freunden hinfahren. Michaela und Kurt

Fabulous villa in a fabulous location! It was everything and more than we had hoped for!
We booked Casa del Gat for all of June 2018. I was wanting to bring my family together in a nice environment with other visitors coming along too! Everything was fabulous! The villa is 5 large bedrooms and is very comfortable and well appointed! The gardens are very large with interests for everyone from young people to adults! The pool is spacious and well maintained. Excellent for cooling off! It is large enough to have a swim for exercise! We were well looked after by the proprietor and his family and they attended to everything! The villa is in quite a rural location. Nearest bars restaurants are a short car drive or a 20-30 minute walk! It is an excellent base to explore the magnificent surrounding scenery! The location is excellent and it provided a wonderful base for a golden month!

A Little Gem of a Villa, with a proper heated pool!
The Hosts Jo and Aurelie could not have been more helpful, the house has everything you would need on superb grounds that the kids can play around in safely. We have a 4 year old and a 18 month old and it was great that the pool was fenced and there were lots of toys for the kids and the fact the pool was properly heated to about 28 degrees was a massive saviour as the weather for the time of year wasn't the best. Jo and Aurelie were very helpful in letting us know where the best places were to go for sightseeing and eating out. It's in a very scenic area great for nature lovers, but not too far from some larger towns and the coast. We all had a great time!! Thanks guys. Phil, Gemma Finley and Florence

Idéal pour un séjour en famille
la location correspond à la description, très bien équipée et de l'espace pour profiter du bon air. Dommage que le temps n'était pas de la partie, nous aurions aimé profiter un peu plus de la piscine. Le propriétaire est très sympathique, de bons conseils et discret.

A lovely villa with large gounds set in a rural peaceful location
Our family and friends (4 adults, 3 children aged 2-7) really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The villa is well provided for with plenty of space. Do ask about the pool as it is not avalible all year and we arrived to find it wasn't usable. It would seem Owners Direct have not published all the information about the villa, so do ask before booking. We'll be asking lots more questions in the future. Owners Direct don't appear to want to take any responsibility.

Thank you for your review James. We indeed discovered some essential information about the property was not translated from french into english. We contacted HomeAway and solved these problems straight away. To be clear for everybody : the private saltwater pool is outside and heated from May until end of September. Once the pool is not used anymore, tariffs of the rental are dropped.

C'est top
Très belle propriété, idéalement située à quelques minutes de Prades et de toutes les curiosités du Conflent. Nous étions deux, mais l'équipement de la maison (taille du réfrigérateur, nombre de tables et de chaises, espace et jeux d'extérieur) est largement dimensionné pour dix. Le jardin est très agréable, la maison est lumineuse et la vue est splendide de tous côtés. Jo et Aurélie sont très sympathiques et prévenants, on se sent quasiment en famille. Pas vraiment trouvé de points faibles à cette location, et pourtant nous aurions bien aimé, parce que si ça se sait trop, nous risquons d'avoir du mal à réserver de nouveau dans les prochaines années !

Nous venons de passer un merveilleux séjour à la Casa del Gat.. La maison est magnifique, nichée dans un cadre à couper le souffle. Les prestations et équipements, autant extérieurs qu'intérieurs, sont excellents et nous ont permis de nous sentir "comme à la maison". Un autre point positif, la maison est idéalement située: proche de la mer, de la montagne et de l'Espagne. Nous tenions également à adresser un grand merci à Jo et Aurelie pour leur gentillesse, leurs conseils et leur discrétion.

Excellent séjour dans cette belle propriété tout confort, merveilleusement bien située et sur équipée. Nous avons bien sûr apprécié la piscine chauffée qui nous a permis de bien profiter de notre séjour, malgré la tramontane! 2 petites précisions qui n'entâchent absolument pas notre appréciation mais qui peuvent être utiles: le paiement via Abritel qui s'effectue d'office en 3 mensualités (idem pour le solde, soit 2 fois des intérêts en sus pour environ 15 €) et sur place le supplément correspondant à la consommation d'électricité (70€) tout à fait normal ( avec relevé du compteur) mais à prévoir...nous avons décliné le forfait ménage de 120€ qui nous était proposé : à savoir que tout est à disposition pour laisser les lieux en bon état de propretés et nous avons fait le ménage nous mêmes. Nous avons fait peu de sorties, nous recommandons le marché de Prades du mardi matin( le marché nocturne du vendredi soir est par contre très décevant, une dizaine de commerçants à peine...) Un dernier mot pour saluer l'extrême gentillesse, la disponibilité et la totale discrétion de nos hôtes, Aurélie et Jo que nous remercions vivement de leur accueil.

Calme, paix et sérénité
Nous avons passé une semaine de repos du 25 juin au 2 juillet 2016 à 6 personnes et nos 2 chiens. Cette superbe propriété bien entretenue est nichée au milieu de la montagne , entourée de champs et dotée d'une vue magnifique. La piscine chauffée, la piste de pétanque, le badminton et les promenades ont agrémenté notre quotidien. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et disponibles en cas de besoin. Pour les amoureux d'escapades, de nombreux petits villages plein de charmes sont à visiter aux alentours. Destination à recommander sans hésitation!
