The salt water pool was definitely unique! The house was built in 1908 and has all the feeling and beauty of that age. Gwendolyn, the hostess, made delicious gourmet breakfasts and the bedroom was extremely comfortable and beautiful.

Such an awesome getaway. Very cool and charming place. Could walk to town. Great porch and pool area. Lots of room to roam. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the Windmill Cottage. It was a unique accommodation built around a windmill used for irrigation of orange groves that previously surrounded the property. With 4 beds & 2 baths, it was very comfortable for 4 adults. The gourmet breakfasts included in the rate were FABULOUS! Upon arrival, we were provided with beer/wine and lovely snacks. The area was very quiet and secure. The location is within a short walk of the downtown area, There were plenty of shops and restaurants close by and we loved all the ones that we tried. The innkeepers Gwen & Dennis could not have been any more welcoming or helpful. Can't wait to go back!

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed. Clean, beautiful, convenient. Their breakfast was the best I have ever tried. Will definitely come back again.

It's a beautiful property that is clearly the passion of its owners, Gwendolyn and Dennis, who are lovely, thoughtful and caring. We spent two nights and are super pleased. We had a delicious traditional breakfast the first morning and a delicious vegan breakfast the second after I happened to mention a New Year's resolution to Gwen. In one word, we would say our experience was "delightful."

First The accommodations were wonderful. Our room was vey nice with a large closet, bath with tub, and very clean. The whole B&B was wonderful. They have a pool and a large veranda with rocking chairs and tables outside. The morning breakfast was great both days. More than I was expecting. The Gwendolyn and Dennis (the owners) were so nice and friendly and catered to our every need and want. I had forgotten my cpap gasket so my machine wouldn't work. So Gwendolyn called around for me but couldn't find one, so Dennis actually took the time to make one for me, now that is customer service or should i say customer care. We have been coming to Mt Dora many times over the last 8 years and stayed at many of the B&B's. After this experience we are now only going to stay at the Grandview. It was that great.I would rate our experience a 10 Russell And Lisa A

Relaxing and beautiful B&B!
This is a beautiful B&B with amazing hosts! The decor, food, and ambient music playing softly in the background take you back in time reminiscent of the 1930's-40's. The breakfast, made from scratch and locally sourced, was wonderful! Dennis and Gwendolyn went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! We look forward to returning!

Best bed and breakfast in Mt Dora!!
Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The hosts are extreamly friendly and accommodating. Delicious full breakfast was served daily and afternoon tea and sandwitches were available. We will definatly be coming back to stay!

Loved Grandview B&B
We really enjoyed our stay. The property is beautiful and very well kept. It was so nice to just sit on the porch swing, have a glass of wine, try excellent local cheese and enjoy the day. Gwendolyn and Dennis are great hosts and very kind. Their suggestions for all things local was spot on! It was fun being there as the house was slowly transforming from Halloween to the beginnings of Christmas.

My husband and I spent a relaxing 2 nights at the Grandview Bed and Breakfast. Gwendolyn and Dennis we're gracious hosts who made us feel very comfortable. Breakfast each day consisted of a variety of delicious homemade foods, including meat from local farms. The location is within walking distance to Downtown as well as area parks. We'll definitely be back!

We loved the Grandview Bed and Breakfast in Mount Dora! Dennis and Gwendolyn are gracious hosts and bent over backwards to make our visit special. The attention to detail at every level from the restoration of the 1906 house to the farm-to-table breakfast is lovely. A lot of precautions are also taken to protect against Covid and we felt very safe.

great weekend getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grandview. Our hosts, Gwendolyn and Dennis, were fantastic and very friendly and made us feel at home. Our accommodations were great except for the hard water in the shower. The food for breakfast was delicious as well as having a wonderful cocktail hour and getting together with the other guests. We would definitely go back there again.

The best B and B in Mount Dora
Right from our arrival the owner Gwendoline greeted us checked if we needed ice and water with a friendly offer to help with our bags . She settled us in and invited us to the social hour . The property is just wonderful and so relaxing . With plenty of seating outside on verandah and around the pool . Breakfast was amazing cooked by Gwendoline from scratch with ingredients either grown on properly or sourced organically . Just perfect.

Lovely Place and Hosts
Had a lovely stay. Gwendolyn and Dennis were great hosts and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. The B&B is in a great position - in easy walking distance for restaurants and shops and is also within a few minutes drive from Renningers where we were attending the antiques extravaganza. The room was lovely and the parking was right next to it. Breakfast was excellent. Will definitely go back and probably stay a bit longer next time.

Best place to stay in Mt Dora
Best Bed-n-Breakfast in Mt Dora. Excellent service. Super clean. Great A/C. Great breakfast made on-site with top farm-fresh ingredients. Free wi-fi. Salt-water pool (no chlorine smell!). Close to everything in Mt Dora, walking distance. Comfortable beds, big bathtubs. No complaints and everything was as advertised and everyone who stays here will experience the same quality and old-world charm. If you are traveling to Mt Dora for any seasonal events, book your stay here. Nothing else comes close and ownership takes a lot of pride in being the best BnB in the area.

Dennis and Gwendolyn are fantastic hosts! Property is crystal clean, accommodations perfect. Breakfast was made-to-order with farm fresh ingredients. Pool was a real treat. They even gave us a rose bouquet when we mentioned that it was our anniversary! Altogether a peaceful, relaxing couple of days. We wouldn’t have changed a thing!

I Travel every week for work and I’m in and out of hotels all the time this place was a delight! It was so nice to check in after a rough day of work so peaceful and calm Gwen and Dennis. were fabulous so welcoming and sweet the place is quaint and adorable it’s calm and serene it feels like home it’s so comfy absolutely beautiful so clean the local special soaps were such a nice touch I just loved everything about it

With the loss of my dad and my furbaby (Remy) being diagnosed with a heart condition, my husband and I, along with Remy were looking to get a way for a few days. I stumbled across this bed and breakfast and let me tell you, it was EXACTLY what we needed. Gwendolyn, the owner was beyond accommodating. Nicky and another young lady (can't remember her name) were amazing...even taking the time to "play" with Remy. We stayed in the Windmill Cottage and it was so cute and cozy with an outdoor patio which we definitely enjoyed. The farmhouse is very well kept, the food was delicious, the hospitality was heartfelt. Gwendolyn + Greatful heart/Generous Spirt=EXCELLENT Getaway

Absolutely amazing.!!! Very friendly and owners make everything comfortable and perfect. Breakfast is spectacular and social evening wine gathering is great before a short walk into town. The owner Gwen & Dennis greet everyone with a smile and their home is beautiful.
