Great interim stop during cross country move
We recently stayed at Sugar Magnolia for several nights in between our move from Colorado to Mount Pleasant. We had my mother in law with us for one night and our two children ages 3 and 7 mos. The home worked perfectly for our stay given the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the two-zone HVAC. The primary suite was lovely and the beds were all extremely comfortable! We didn’t spend significant time on the property because we were busy with move-in details, but I think it would suite a family or group extremely well. We did have to bring our own pack n play, but knew that in advance. The only other thing (which is also noted in the information ahead of time) is that you have to supply your own paper goods aside from the “starter amount” they give you. This meant no paper towels on hand and two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. If you’re planning a longer stay it would be something you’d probably want to get ahead of time. Overall I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a northeast MP location, lots of space, updated kitchen and baths, very clean, and comfortable home. It really made our “in between” time very comfortable!

Family Getaway
Sugar Magnolia provided a spacious home base for our two families with four children, aged 10 months to 5 years, while visiting the Charleston area. We were within 15-40 minutes of most of the attractions our families wanted to visit. The home itself was comfortable and offered the space and most necessities for our families, though the grill, cookware, some furniture and one of the bathrooms are starting to age.

Good location
This property was a good location for all of the events we had planned for the long holiday weekend. Very nice home with all the accommodations we needed. My only complaint is that we never were able to get the upstairs bathroom shower to access hot water. We let the shower run for 15 mins each day with only hot water turned on and it never got warm. Otherwise, a great stay.

Family Charleston Get Together
Overall the property was comfortable and spacious. The only issues we had was the lack of cookware and what was provided was in very poor condition. The outdoor furniture was dirty so it would be best to let the persons staying at the home put it out when they use it. There also could be more seating provided in the main living area as well as the main floor bedrooms. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this location.

Exceeded our expectations!!
This property is beautiful inside and out, the listing pictures don’t do it justice! Super spacious house and rooms, had everything we needed, and everything was clean. We were 10 ladies for a bachelorette trip, and it was perfect! we had 3 girls sleep in a king, 2 girls in the other 3 beds, and 1 girl on the pull out couch. It was still spacious for the 10 of us! I couldn’t be happier choosing this place. Going to downtown charleston was about 25-30 minute drive, but definitely worth the drive for this house and the price. Checking in and out was extremely easy, and heard from the property manager the perfect amount for updates and rules. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend this place :)

We visited Charleston for the Shipyard baseball tournament. Location was great not only for the park, but for visiting friends at the beach at Isle of Palms. Property Manager was also very prompt when we had a question during the week. Great house, great location!

Overall nice property. We really loved the kitchen and gathering space. A little disappointing that the kitchen wasn't better equipped. We had to send someone out on Christmas Eve to buy a can opener!

Nice property over all. If the ice machine was working , fan downstairs worked, the tile in the bathroom shower was fixed down stairs needed relaxing and newer linen were available I would haven given it more stars. If those things get replaced it would be 5 stars.

We are very sorry that we had an a/c blower motor fail during your stay so the upstairs was warmer than normal for an hour or so until we were able to get portable units installed so the home was cool during the rest of your visit.

Good property but unfortunate circumstances
The property is in great condition and spacious. However, the upstairs 2 bedrooms were not usable due to the HVAC unit not operating due to mechanical failure. In 90 degree hot weather, with the AC not working, 4 members of our group were forced to move out and stay at local hotels. The property owner offered a minor refund, but it was not close enough to cover expenses of having to book alternative hotel rooms in the area for 3 nights. Owner claims to have had the unit inspected and serviced prior to our reservation, but with the AC not working, it made our family trip less enjoyable.

We are sorry that we had an A/C unit blower motor fail during your stay. As you said in your text to us 'totally not your fault as it's a product of the hot weather and hvacs running hard". I show from the texts that it was only the last 2 nights that were impacted not 3 and that we did offer you a refund for those nights if you wanted to leave the home but you decided to remain in the home.

My stay in charelston was enjoyable. The house was big and spacious. The fridge did have a pretty repulsive smell and the trash was very filled when I arrived and was not taken out until Sunday. Everything was very new and nice and my family enjoyed having a spacious place to crash after our ceremony.

6 of us spent a long weekend at this property in early April and really enjoyed everything about it. About a 20 min ride into downtown Charleston, but also close to local restaurants and shopping conveniences. The guest book had some great local recommendations, definitely check it out! The house amenities were everything we could have needed - clean house, beds were comfortable, lots of space in the entertaining areas, and plenty of bathrooms for a large group. The host was easy to communicate with for check in and check out. No problems occurred, but if they had I’m sure everything would have been attended to in a timely fashion. Great stay!

Girls trip for a 40th bday was fantastic! The bottle of wine was a nice touch. I think we forgot it though. 🤪 we lives the back deck and big kitchen. We did notice that in between the couch was really dirty with crumbs. I looked for a vacuum but couldn't find one. Also, the blankets in ottoman were dirty. One had a bandaid stuck to it. I washed them. And they were good to go. Just something you might want to mention to the cleaning crew. Also I loved the area rug in the 2nd main bedroom! Where did you find that??? Thanks for a great stay!

Thanksgiving weekend
We LOVED this house! It was spacious, immaculate, comfortable, and well represented by the pictures. The beds were super comfortable. The huge yard was perfect for games, kids running around and tossing the football. Restaurants, general stores and the grocery were within a 10 minute drive. The location was a bit rural but we were there for some peace and quiet and family time so it was perfect for us.

Mt Pleasant stay
House was great/beautiful, rooms were spacious and generally clean. Cons include the fact that garbage pails were full upon arrival. Then even when garbage was placed out on pick up day, garbage truck did not take it, so overall trash removal from the property was an issue. In addition, there were tiny bugs, enough to be a nuisance, crawling throughout the kitchen. Lastly, the street/neighborhood the house is on is not necessarily the best, history of crime and run down houses in the area, however, the location itself was convenient for all things Mt. Pleasant/Charleston and easy to access.

Thanks Keith, trash is the City's responsibility, if it doesn't get picked up let us know and we can call for a new pick up. The home is treated for pests regularly. We're happy to send pest control back in anytime. We've had no issues with the neighborhood at all.

Sugar Magnolia was a perfect home for a long weekend guys trip. The home was clean and in perfect condition on arrival. The home had a very private feel due to it being off the beaten path and having a larger yard. Home is in a great location for being close to the beach as well as downtown Charleston. Would definitely recommend this house for future stays.

Excellent Place to stay
Steven was very responsive leading up to our trip. In addition, the house was equipped with plenty of space inside and out. The only down side about our stay was the ability to request Ubers but that is out of the owner’s hands. That being said, I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Mount Pleasant area!

Great home away from home.
A hidden gem of a property of the South Carolina coast. The decor is gorgeous and comfortable, the space is enormous (would comfortably fit 4 couples), wonderful modern amenities are everywhere, I struggle to think what I could change to make the interior better. The neighborhood is a mix of old and refurbished but feels pretty far away in any case. Nearby are a great collection of malls, restaurants and markets and gorgeous beaches are a 5 min drive away. If the price works for you this is definitely the space.

Family trip
Great communication with property management group. Checking in and out was extremely easy and all the rooms were very spacious. The set up of the 2 masters on main worked great for us bc it was 2 families saying with our kids. The one complaint we had was the temp upstairs. It took a while to cool off and once we set it at the desired temp the system seemed to always override it making it a lot warmer. Besides that everything was awesome.
