The neighborhood is mostly residential with an elementary school within walking distance. You would see friendly neighbors walking their dogs or folks just walking/ jogging along. There is a really nice walking trail that goes all the way to the shoreline park.
Within a 10 mile radius there is plenty of shopping including Stanford Mall and San Antonio shopping center. Caltrain is about a mile and a half away. There is a bus service right across from the house.
Guest access
You have access to the main house and the yards and patios. The front vegetable garden belongs to the next door neighbors. The separate fenced yard with a picket fence belongs to the backyard neighbor.
Other things to note
Backyard unit shares a wall with this house but is completely seperate with its own entrance. There is no door that connects this house to the other unit. It is listed on Airbnb as sunny studio. It is currently rented on a long term basis by a professor at Stanford.

Dining table has 4 chairs. Living room has one mid century sofa that converts to a bed.
