This is a beautifully presented traditional cottage located along the Connemara coastline at Moyrus, just 4km from Carna village on the Wild Atlantic Way. The property offers sea views and is ideal for families or friends to share, or for couples seeking a romantic seaside getaway. It has the benefit of being a short stroll from the beautifully secluded Moyrus beach. The cottage is just a short drive from local shops, bars and restaurants, offering all the supplies you will need for your self-catering stay. Carna is a small coastal village in the Connemara Gaeltacht. Other nearby beaches to note include Mweenish and Trá Mór. The area offers a peaceful and tranquil stay, while immersing yourself in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht and its traditional culture. Old style Irish music, song and dance are traditional to the area and are a common occurrence in local pubs and bars. Saint Macdara's Island is located off the coast at Mace head. Macdara is the patron saint of fishermen, and each July an annual pilgrimage takes place on the island where a mass and a blessing of the boats takes place. Nearby villages include Kilkerrin, Recess and Roundstone. Clifden town is 35 minutes by car and Galway city can be reached within an hour. Popular activities in the area include lake and sea fishing, walking, cycling, and sailing. Many more activities are available in the wider region, including golf, pony trekking, hill walking, boat trips, and much more.

Facilities
2 bedrooms, plus mezzanine, 2 bathrooms - Sleeps 6. The accommodation is over two levels and includes a combined living and dining room, kitchen, utility room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an upstairs mezzanine area.
The welcoming entrance hall leads into the combined sitting and dining room, with ample furniture, wood burning stove and TV with sky channels. From the central area, all other spaces can be accessed. The modern kitchen is well equipped with ample storage and appliances, including fridge freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. A washing machine located is in the utility room.
There are three areas for sleeping. Bedroom 1 is a double bedroom, sleeping two, with a large en-suite bathroom, including shower over bath, WC, sink and dressing table. Bedroom 2 has a double and a single bed, sleeping 3. Both bedrooms offer ample storage for guests belongings. The upstairs mezzanine area is accessed by a staircase from the living room and includes a single bed and a sofa. The sofa can convert into a sofa bed, sleeping 1 extra person, if required.
The main bathroom is located beside the utility room. It is a spacious bathroom and offers a large shower, WC, sink, and heated towel rail.
The property is centrally heated throughout via solid fuel in the wood burner, which heats the radiators and hot water when lit, or alternatively, by an oil heating system. Wi-Fi is available in the property. All utilities are included in the rental price. Towels and linens are provided. A travel cot and highchair are available. Short breaks available. There is ample parking available for three cars at the property. No smoking. No parties. Sorry, no pets allowed
