'As said by many people on Tripadvisor this is a simple Business hotel in a Business area. It takes 30 minute walking to Gateway of India. hotels are expensive in Mumbai and this one might give some value for money. Do not have high hopes!'

'The quanlity of the service was overall excellent. My constructive feedback is towards the concierge department. They mentioned they connected with another TAJ hotel restaurant on my request to make dinner reservations. This restaurant did not accept reservations but i was told they registered my name so the restaurant was aware i was to arrive with my guests. However, the restaurant did not register my name and the manager there confirmed thisby showing me the guest list. I sought clarification...

'It's a nice place. The people behind the desk are very welcoming and helpfull. The rooms are a bit small, but you have everything you need in there. So this was not a problem to us. Cafe Universal on the other side of the street provided us with a nice breakfast every morning. '

'Het Ascothotel ligt in de wijk Colada, met mooie oude koloniale panden en redelijk veel groen. De kamers zijn mooi, schoon en het personeel is buitengewoon vriendelijk. De transferservice naar het vliegveld is erg goed.'

Groot minpunt is het ontbreken van een fatsoenlijke ontbijt- /restaurant ruimte; ontbijt wordt namelijk op de gang geserveerd, aan vieze tafeltjes met slechte stoelen, door knorrig personeel. Pluspunt: Vlakbij Leopold café en een leuke markt. Verder natuurlijk The Gateway of India.'
