If you have ever seen an image of the Republic of North-Macedonia, it will almost certainly be of the cute little church of St Jovan Kaneo on a clifftop rising up from Lake Ohrid. That lake is one of the oldest in the world, almost certainly the oldest in Europe, and among the deepest too. After visiting the Church of St.John you can wander down to the lake shoreline below. These 2 swans were visiting too, and the Golden sun reflected through the crystal clear waters of the stunning Lake.They were quite happy to pose for my photo. #Golden #lakeOhrid #Macedonia

One of the many Macedonian Orthodox Churches on the shores of Lake Ohrid - there are 365 churches, one for every day of the year. You can get to this one by walking up the hill, or alternatively, there are small passenger boats from the city centre.
