The view of Lake Superior is amazing. The staff were nice. The motel is old. Our room smelled musty and the bathroom smelled like urine. The wall and ceiling near the shower was coming apart. The AC unit fan and bathroom fan had built up greasy dust on them.

Hardest bed and tiniest bedroom and bathroom I've ever seen! My husband and I both awoke with sore hips and backs. Neither of us slept well the 2 nights we stayed. The bathroom would not accommodate anyone who is of larger stature as I am thin and could barely maneuver in the tiny bedroom and bathroom. That being said, the location is wonderful, close to downtown Munising and all its ameneties. It's also close to many falls and the Pictured Rocks Cruise company. The views from this motel are beautiful as every room has a waterfront view. The room has a small kitchenette and eating area which is nice, but the chairs are very uncomfortable, as are all the outdoor chairs. Needs some updating and new mattresses. (Dining options in Munising in October leave something to be desired)

My husband if 6’6” & bedroom & bathroom felt too small. Couch was dated & worn. Bed was soft. Clean room, nice kitchen with great views. Friendly staff.

We loved the feel of being in a cabin. We had two bedrooms living room and small kitchen within the main motel strip. Inside it felt like we were in a cabin in the woods, not a motel. It's also right on the Bay. With a quick walk access the parking lot we were sitting in chairs be the water. If you like a rustic feel I highly recommend this place.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was in very poor condition. The musty smell was overwhelming, the conforter on the bed was stained, the bathroom toilet seat was loose and came off if you shifted your position at all, and the carpets were filthy and had no padding. They should be ashamed to charge close to $200 per night here without putting some money back into renovations.

Loved the outdoor seating along the lakefront. Everyone was out to watch the beautiful sunset and we just sat and enjoyed the peaceful views for several more hours. This is an older motel that worked great for our family. Nothing fancy.

Lovely view of the Bay
We had the suite with a private balcony. Having the balcony was a lovely addition, but make a person must climb stairs with their luggage, so be prepared for that. There is a lovely green space on the shore to enjoy the view or even picnic. The “breakfast” is a snack, so if you are hungry in the morning and looking for a hearty breakfast it’s not here. The internet was the best we’ve had on our entire trip! All in all we were pleased with our stay.

Amazing location. Great staff. It's a bit like stepping back in time. I would choose to do some renovations and updating. We had what we needed and slept well. I love that dogs were welcome. We had a neighbor dog who was very well behaved.

On the water with a beautiful view. Rooms were very musty, not very clean, tile in bathroom was so cracked & pocked it looked like twigs were on the floor. People were nice.

We were phoned the day prior (as I was in Presque Isle Park...this was one stop of many on a 10 day trip). We were told to check in between 3 and 10 pm. We got there about 3:15 to be told they were running behind. After quite a wait, they agreed to check on what room we were assigned. It was 2nd in line to be cleaned. I asked why not clean it next, since we were there. They said they could NOT go out of order. They compromised by giving us the next clean room, so as not to go out of order (which is ridiculous, makes no sense, and shows a lack of reasoning skills). The room itself had 2 bedrooms, but were open to each other. One room had the view. The other room had the A/C and the bathroom. There was a path of about a foot to get by the bed in the "back bedroom" to get to the bathroom. And there was about a foot corridor along the bathtub to get in and out of it. The grounds were nice, and the view was wonderful, but the rooms were awkward, reasonably clean (well, my sister felt like someone could peek in the bathroom window, so she put a towel to cover the viewing point), I wouldn't stay here again, but it was safe and had a lovely view if you are checking in late, don't take showers (or don't mind cramped quarters when you shower...I did shower here, but not comfortably).

It was a nice place but definitely in need of some updates and maintenance. Still a decent place if you are not looking for a Marriott or upscale hotel/motel. Staff was excellent!!!

Cottages are not lake front, or even lake view. Entire place is old and run down.

The motel was on a lake shore and very quiet. The property condition was terrible. My brother started coughing from dust and the curtain rod fell on my mother’s shoulder. The worst part was the staff who rudely replied that you should leave if you are not happy.
