Een pauze nodig van de realiteit? Roemen de bergen je weg voor een rustig, vredig uitje? Tijd voor een sabbatical? Doelinstelling retraite? Meisjes weekend? Alleen jullie 2? Of u nu alleen reist of als een groep verjongt in ons rustige kleine huisje met uitzicht op het meer en de prachtige bergachtige omgeving.

Bij Morning Glory Cottage kunt u genieten van de stille zon opkomt vanaf onze volledige veranda. Maak 's avonds een korte wandeling om de ondergaande zon over het Nantahala National Forest te ervaren en sluit de avond af terwijl u geniet van de vuurplaats buiten met voldoende zitplaatsen.

We hebben 3 slaapkamers en 2 volledige baden. Het hoogste niveau heeft geen stappen vanaf de oprit naar het huis en beschikt over 2 slaapkamers - 1 koning en 1 koningin - en een complete badkamer met inloopdouche. Perfect voor gasten van alle leeftijden en lichamelijke vermogens. Het hoogste niveau heeft ook een volledig gevulde keuken, den met houtgestookte open haard (en gas starter!) en afgeschermde veranda over de volledige lengte. Het lagere niveau beschikt over een tv-kamer, slaapkamer met kingsize bed, complete badkamer met douche en bad op pootjes, wasruimte en overdekte veranda over de volledige lengte.

Morning Glory Cottage ligt in de Bear Paw-gemeenschap van Lake Hiwassee, waar North Carolina, Tennessee en Georgia samenkomen (niet te verwarren met de stad Hiawassee, Georgia aan Lake Chatuge). We zijn 30 minuten ten westen van Murphy, North Carolina en op 2 uur rijden van Atlanta GA, Chattanooga TN, Knoxville TN en Asheville NC.

Peace and Serenity

The house itself is very nice and equipped with anything you might need, but the best feature is the view from the screen porch. You can see the lake. Not a clear view but beautiful through the tree tops. I've never been anywhere so quiet. All we heard were birds and an occaisonal boat. The wifi was down and cell service is very spotty, but a blessing to get away from there. Can't wait to return.

Morning Glory Cottage

This is an ideal home for family and friends with complete amenities for everyone’s comfort. The porch was a favorite to hang out listening to nature and music. The lake made a beautiful view with the sunrise and sunset. Definitely want to stay again. Sheree is a wonderful host as we arrived early and she was very accommodating. Thank you dear lady!

A Hidden Mountain Retreat

I’ve been traveling to the N Ga Mountains for years and never knew about this community. I would advise anyone who wants some peace and quiet to choose your cabin. The views are beautiful, both inside and out. The description and pictures given in the listing do not bring justice to what your eyes will see. My family and I look forward to returning.

Great Cabin and Amenities

We loved Morning Glory! It is in a secluded community on the Hiwassee Lake. The cabin had everything that you need to enjoy during your stay. My parents and our son took the main level bedrooms and my husband and I stayed in the basement. The furnishings are nice and there are 2 large TVs in living areas with streaming service. My son watched Netflix downstairs while we enjoyed TV upstairs. The screened in porch is the jewel of the property! We sat out there enjoying the peace and quiet most of the time. It's a tree house view of the woods and lake. There are cabins on both sides but there are nice curtains to pull across the end for privacy. We brought our dog with us so we walked up and down the road multiple times a day with her. We saw rabbits and deer daily and the sunsets at the top of the hill are amazing! The downstairs bedroom had plenty of space for her large crate and we enjoyed being able to come into the house thru the screened porch with her. The kitchen has everything except for your food. We knew that Murphey is about a 40 minute drive so running to the grocery store wasn't convenient. We brought everything with us and cooked every night. The pool was awesome and had plenty of chairs. It did end up closed for maintenance the last couple of days so I'm glad we went at the 1st of the week. We had a great time and hope to return in the future. The owners were easy to contact and very nice. Morning Glory is a wonderful place!

Beautiful view, amazing location!

The listing is not joking when it says it's 40 minutes from everything. It is DEEP in the Bear Paw community, sitting almost at the very top of a gorgeous mountainside. The cabin itself is very quiet and secluded, with a super clean, homey feel. Sheree and their partner(s) were very responsive to all our questions and we never had a single issue with anything. If you are looking for a relaxing mountain getaway with a very nice view, I would highly recommend this place. If we return to the Murphy area, I know where I'm looking first!

We enjoyed the Morning Glory cottage. The bed and furniture was comfy, everything was clean and as promised and the view from the porches was amazing. Host was quick to respond and helpful. Property was pretty remote but in a nice gated community, Roads to home were narrow and curvy. Be prepared.

Fall Getaway

My daughter, son-in-law, and I spent a week at Morning Glory Cottage the last week of October. It was wonderful! We found the cabin to be very clean and well-appointed. The location and view were wonderful! I’ve never seen more beautiful mountains with the trees showing off their beautiful colored leaves! The screened porch was a big hit for my daughter! Even on the chilly mornings she would wrap up in a blanket and sit on the porch to read and enjoy her morning coffee. I would definitely recommend this amazing cabin, and we will definitely come again.

Serenity, Peace & Relaxation

I can't say enough about the owners of this true cottage in the woods. Their home is perfect for a relaxing, quiet, beautiful time of renewal. We spent a month here from late September thru late October and enjoyed it tremendously. From the remoteness away from other people, to everything provided for a relaxing stay, to the immediate attention to any question or need. This is absolutely the best experience we've had renting in the mountains. Truly phenomenal view from the oversized screened porch. Comfortable furniture, beds, well stocked kitchen, great washer and dryer. We didn't use the fireplace as the weather was too warm. Our hosts were kind enough to trust us in bringing our two cats. Although they are well behaved, don't scratch furniture, have flea and tick protection; no one except this host would rent to us. Cats have a bad and undeserved reputation. For the majority of the day, they lay on the porch watching the wildlife. We are so grateful to have found this dream, a vacation for us and our girls. This is a fabulous place for any group or family. We didn't drive anywhere after dusk. Not being familiar with driving in the mountains after dark, we arranged to be home before dark. Everything else was perfect.

Cozy mountain retreat

Loved our stay here! An opening came up last minute so we were able to spend New Year's here, and it was perfect. It is the perfect combination of a house that is actually used and lived in (very well equipped kitchen to cook all our meals) and a rental experience (very clean, self check-in hardware, 'welcome' signs and touches). The owners were very responsive and available during our stay as well. One of our favorite parts was the gas starter in the fireplace and the firewood supply available on the drive way. Making a cozy fireplace fire was so easy! 10/10 would recommend, we can't wait to come back! Thank you for having us :)
