The hotel staff is very attentive and helped us coordinate transfers to and from the airport, as well as helping us with tours of both Quito's historic center and an excursion to one of the volcanoes. 'Fantastic stay at La Basilica Quito. Great location with good security, very friendly owners and staff. English spoken. Very clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds and bathroom with all amenities. Some of the rooms are located in-house, which makes them a bit stuffy due to lack of ventilation, but this is minor. Right in the hart of Old Quito at 5 minutes walk from historic square with cathedral, museums, presidential palace, and also the National Basilica. '

'The breakfast was great! A different fresh juice each morning, a croissant, granola and yogurt, with a small bowl of fruit. Coffee & espresso was also great! '

'The hotel is unique. The staff are the best we encountered. They got up one hour early to make us breakfast because of our flight time Breakfast is excellent with eggs made to order. We had a wonderful time, will be coming back '

'Hoewel een kort verblijf van 2 nachten, een prima tijd gehad in het in historische centrum zeer centraal gelegen hotel. Ook van het straatverkeer geen last, mede omdat de straat relatief smal is. Bijzonder was dat die Zondag verplicht binnenblijven was vanwege de census( volkstelling) Uitsluitend militairen en politie op straat. Echter met het fijne hotel en de goede maaltijden was het niet echt rampzalig. Ook was het bijzonder dat het hele land vanaf vrijdagmiddag tot maandagmiddag drooggelegd...

'Everything that was good about this hotel was quite average. There was nothing bad about it either. It's hard to explain, but the whole is worth less than the sum of its parts... I would probably choose somewhere else next time.'

'Loved the hostel. Has the historic rustic vibe. Have daily events and walking tour on board schedule. In or around the old historic town. Not walking distance from your typical Holiday Inn and restaurants but closer to the typical Ecuadorian life style and food. Its like a maze inside the hostel with creaking wood floor.'
