'Did not like the abscence of humans until breakfast. The cook was obliging in making me a bacon butty for breakfast. The bed was comfy and the hotel was clean but a wee tired.'

'Moved from the bull to the shepherds rest as an upgrade prior to arrival. Out of 4 rooms (party of 4), rooms 10 and room 4 no heating. The bull may have better but I’d avoid the shepherds rest. Also none of the TVs worked in any of the 4 rooms and Wi-Fi password not shared. A shame as the rooms were fine even if the showers are a little small. Place was clean and obviously has been invested in. '

'Absolutely lovely property in the centre of Howarth. Very well presented, super clean and tidy and had everything you need for your stay. There was fresh milk in the fridge and lots of little extras that made the stay even more enjoyable. Only challenge is the parking but I'm sure that is the same for every property in Howarth. The streets are very narrow and many properties have cones outside or big 'no parking' signs so you have to be lucky to find a spot nearby. Other than parking, we...
