Cottage grenzend aan Hoffmaster State Park

3 slaapkamers, 2 badkamers huis op bijna een hectare. Loop door de achtertuin naar het schilderachtige Hoffmaster State Park, volg een wandelpad van 1,5 km naar de zandduinen van Lake Michigan en bekijk de prachtige Lake Michigan Waters and Beach. House ligt op 10 minuten van Norton Shores Grocery Stores, op 15 minuten van Down Town Grand Haven, waar u kunt genieten van winkels en aan het water. Grand Haven is de thuisbasis van US Coast Guard Festival, Cascades kleur water show elk weekend. Holland Michigan ligt op 30 minuten afstand voor het Tulip-festival. Sleeping Bear-zandduinen liggen in het noorden. Ga 20 minuten ten noorden van het huis aan boord van de Muskegon-veerboot om de fee over Lake Michigan naar Wisconsin te nemen. Maak een ritje met paard en wagen door het centrum van Muskegon. Halve mijl van Mt Garfield motorfiets heuvel klimmen. Meerdere fietspaden sluiten, waaronder Lakeshore fietspad.

Perfect location!

Location was ideal! The kids had fun building a snowman and playing In the backyard. We loved being so close to Lake Michigan. The open area worked great for our family hang out. We would rent this place again.

The location of this property is amazing! The ability to walk to the beach made our stay very memorable. The layout of the house is perfect for a group of people to enjoy. the inside of the main house was very clean and comfortable for all of our guests. Cozy, Hidden Gem in Norton Shores.We had a fantastic stay at this cozy home! Although it’s located in a quiet subdivision, it feels tucked away and private, surrounded by trees and ferns. The backyard was perfect for relaxing, and we loved making s’mores around the fire pit at night.The house had plenty of space to lounge, clean and comfy bedrooms, and a well-stocked kitchen that made cooking easy. The 15-minute walk through the woods to the beach was a highlight—beautiful and peaceful. We recommend bringing a wagon for beach gear!It was a wonderful weekend, and we made memories we’ll cherish for years. Highly recommend!

Overall the location was great, with the beach and stores close, relatively clean, but property but could use some TLC. This was the first time I’ve stayed at a VBRO with air purifiers in every room. The blue lights were a little bothersome to sleep with. The place comfortably sleeps seven (7) people. The furniture was a little tired, but I’d say a 3.75 out of 5 stars.

Beautiful Location

The home was very nice. The location was amazing so close to the park and the beach area but they need to really fire. Their cleaning lady. There were huge tumbleweeds of dog hair from. I’m assuming previous renters on and around furniture and I know for a fact, I left the house cleaner when I left then when I arrived.

Perfect location and a great home

This house should be booked all summer long! It was perfect for our party of 5, ranging from 11 to 80 years of age, plus our dog. Plenty of seating to host others for meals or a cocktail hour. The house was clean and well appointed inside and out. None of us detected any smell some other guests mentioned. The neighborhood is quiet and we had some nice chats while out for walks. The wooded walk to the lake was magical. Great dining and every convenience was a short drive away.

2024 Norton Shore visit

This was our third year staying there (we've also booked time in 2025), so we do enjoy staying there. A couple comments we have are that it would be nice to have an icemaker and that the large area rug in the kitchen is rather dirty/stained and should be taken care of before your next guests arrive. All else was fine. See you next year!

Family Beach Blast

We absolutely loved staying here! We came for the beach but also fell in love with the house. We will absolutely be coming back for another stay. Less than 20min from Grand Haven beach to play the day away and hang out for the singing fountain after sunset. Less than 20 min from the Muskegon high speed ferry when it was time to head back to Minnesota. The short walk to P J Hoffmaster beach from the house was difficult because of beach erosion the last couple years making the climb up and down very steep but it was still definitely worth the effort! Only negatives were we wish there was more seating to eat together with everyone and a couple people in our group thought there was a strong musty smell but the rest of us couldn’t smell it.

Nice area, but poor property

Visit was in late October. I never received check in info, I had to call for it. Upon arrival the property was poorly managed, lots of overgrowth, looked like no one had been there in years. Upon entry, stuck by a very old smell, mildew or old water damage, not sure but it was strong, even with air unifiers throughout the house. House was clean, and inside was as pictured. Wonderful location with neighborhood trail to beach and very close to Grand haven and other hiking activities.
