Friends down for the weekend
The house is comfortable and has an adequately stocked kitchen with a coffee maker. My only downside was no TP or paper towels were in the house, may have been an oversight.

Nicest stocked kitchen hands down. Close to main roads and shopping. Extremely quiet neighborhood. Rental was clean! Future requests would be more than one towel and wash cloth per guest. No one wants to do laundry daily on vacation. Towels are cheap!

After-Christmas family getaway
The owner was very attentive in making sure we had all instructions for checking in, the amenities offered, attractions close by, etc. The house was in a great neighborhood that we would have enjoyed walking in and letting the little ones ride their scooters, but it was just too cold! We did walk to the sound the first afternoon and enjoyed taking some beautiful sunset photos. The house was in a great location very close to some of the beach's best restaurants and only a mile from a grocery store, Home Goods, Ulta and several other favorite stores. The kids loved sand-sledding down Jockey's Ridge, almost next door! The house was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 4 kids! Only disappointment was it was a much longer walk to the soundside beach than we anticipated. We drove, as we would definitely have to do during the hot summer with chairs, floats, toys, refreshments, etc. - everything kids "need" including return bathroom trips.

Lovely Location
The house is exactly as advertised and Phil is easy to communicate with. It was our first visit to the OBX, and we had an excellent Thanksgiving with our family. Lots of space, well-stocked kitchen, and tons to do even in the winter time. We're looking forward to returning in the summer month.

OBX EXPERIENCE
The house accommodations were very nice. I was very amazed on Howell. The location is right by the main highway and you can walk to the sound side, the dunes, and see the sunset on the ocean. The poor very nice feature to have access to.

Beautiful decor and clean house
The property owner called us a week before our stay and gave us all the details we needed when we’re due to arrive the following week. The neighborhood is very cute and quiet. The decor in the home was beautiful. The only complaints I had were the things that were either broken or loose. I did send pictures to the owner. Other than those issues it was a great property!!

Nice vacation
Good vacation house for our group. We had 9 people. Kids likes the pool, adults loved the hammock and rocker. Kitchen had all the pots/pans we needed for cooking. Its on a quiet street so nice for kids to ride bikes, or go running/walking the pup. Sound side beach is just a short walk away. We drove to the ocean side beach. Just a short drive away. House was nice and clean upon arrival. Good communication with the owner. We were having an issue with one of the locks and he got someone out to fix quickly. The only thing we were disappointed on was the master bed upstairs. It says queen (we have a standard queen at home) but we felt it was smaller. More like an XL full. The owner stated he definitely recently purchased a queen sized, so maybe it was a difference on sizing standards. Didnt ruin the stay or anything. Overall we were happy

The only thing I can say about the bed issue is that queen beds were purchased when the house was built and have since over the years on 2 occasions purchased replacement queen mattresses locally in Nags Head. Rather confused by the renters assesment of bed size.

Nags Head Family Vacation
Our family enjoyed our trip to Nags Head. The house was exactly how it was described online. Plenty of room and we enjoyed the pool a lot. Quick ride to everything we needed. Only draw back was that the beds weren’t very comfy. Other than that an amazing stay in OBX!!

Home away from home
This was a wonderful place to stay! The kids loved the property and the sunset view from the wraparound porch was breathtaking. This house is close to everything but feels cut off at the same time. In a wonderful quiet neighborhood! Our son has autism and this was the perfect safe haven for our family vacation! The house has many safety features to help ease a worrying mind such as a pool alarm system. The owner was amazing to work with and would promptly respond to any call or text. The kitchen includes anything you might think you would need to fix a meal. The home has an outside shower, a putting green, basketball goal, balls, and a few hammocks to enjoy time with each other. Would highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful location
Check in was at 1:00, received a call from Phil that the house had not been cleaned. We were still 4.5 hours away, he said they should be finished cleaning by then. When we arrived, the cleaners were still there ,we had to wait about 20 more minutes. This was out of Phil's control, and I understand. The floors had not been mopped and were visibly stained, I had to mop the floors. The rest of the house was clean. Phil's house is in a wonderful location! We loved the outdoor activities he had at the house! The house is a short walk to the soundside beach and Jockeys Ridge, and we went there often. The house was warm and inviting with lots of windows. We would definitely stay again!

Nags Head Trip
For reference, we were a group of 8 couples. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nags Head. The property is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The property was easy to find and parking was plentiful. There were several outdoor areas to hang out including a wrap around porch, hammock, and hammock swing. The inside of the property was clean. The layout worked well for 4 couples. The kitchen was nicely stocked. The living room seated us comfortably. We had one complaint, which are the mattresses. These will probably need to be replaced soon starting with the full size lower bunk bed - they were a bit uncomfortable after several nights. Phil was very easy to get in touch with - he does things a little old school. Instead of getting an email with instructions or finding instructions for the property, you should expect a call a few weeks in advance. Overall, we had a great time & would certainly recommend this property. We would also consider staying here again if we are ever back in this area.

Thank you Dustin. I just so happens that i have orders in for all hew mattresses for the house with the exception of the two queens which were replaced in 2022. One step at a time as everything costs more these days.

Very sorry to hear that Page. My regular cleaner who is excellent was down with the flu and had her friend clean prior to your arrival. My cleaner had she been able to clean would have left the house spotless for you as my many reviews attest to.

Perfect Vacation Home

Great location for a duck hunting trip.
I booked this home for an annual hunting trip. This was our first trip to OBX. The owner was good to work with. The home had plenty of room for our group. The kitchen was well stocked. Close proximity to a grocery store. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Convenient location to restaurants etc yet in a quiet, private location. Home was in order for our stay . The owner had all dishes, towels etc necessary . Heat worked well in the super cold temperatures outside . Plenty of bedrooms for a family or a group to use .

Relaxing
We rented for a family wedding and my family of six fit perfectly. It was a perfect gathering spot for family to meet to head to the beach and the wedding. The decor was fantastic and the home has everything you need for a stay. Just don’t forget paper products including toilet paper for the stay, we did and had to make a quick trip to the store which was conveniently less than a mile away! The kids really enjoyed playing basketball, putting in the putting green, relaxing on the large decks and throwing horseshoes! Wish we could have stayed a week! Thank you for having us!

Great but HVAC broken
The house was great and clean, bathrooms there are three full baths which is awesome! Laundry in house huge bonus and updated kitchen is super nice. The neighborhood is mainly full timers which is great because up keep was better than other areas in OBX. The only downside is the HVAC didn’t work so no AC or Heat. Thank god it wasn’t the middle of summer but at night and during the day it was rather humid in the house which wasn’t ideal. Informed the owner and took three days until a repair man was supposed to come (we were told 11am, we waited around and wasted our day until 12:30 when we decided to go about our plans) and we never saw one and never got communication on if the issue was resolved, fyi it wasn’t resolved. So that’s our only complaint was communication and getting that issue fixed. But there were plenty of windows to open and airflow was fine. Great house for OBX if you’re on the fence.

Sorry Emilie that you had to experience that issue but things can break and nothing lasts forever. The issue was called in by me immediately but Unfortunately with the current supply chain issues the part was not delivered to the HVAC company when promised and was a few days late. If it had to happen ,good that it happened now and not in the summer . By the way the heat never stopped working. It was the AC that needed a repair part. Better it happened in March and not in July.

Awesome quick getaway

Great house and great location!
The house was clean and spacious. Pet friendly area and neighborhood. Neighborhood is right off of Croatian Highway where everything at the OBX Nags Head is located. Travel to the beach and sound were very quick and able to be made on foot. Jockeys Ridge State Park is literally next door to the neighborhood, also a short walk away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I think this place is great for those who are looking to relax, and not be in the middle of crowds. The house was spacious and furnished with good quality linens. The owner called and we received some good information to have handy prior to check-in. He was easy to get in touch with when I thought I had a problem with the A/C, but it was due an operator error lol...The neighborhood was nice and quiet throughout our whole stay, which I loved. Overall, a great place to stay and will definitely do again!

Very clean and owner very accessible and responsive:) The pool is good for a small family:) Kitchen had many tools for enjoying a cooking experience. Needed some paring knives for salads and chopping and bring your own hot pads and tea towels. Disappointed that we couldn't use our portable grill but a park grill using charcoal is available. Awesome sheets and towels provided! Great 8 seating dining table. Master at bottom level with bath and other bedrooms and baths upstairs for family members. Quiet neighborhood and beautiful sunrise over a neighbor's house. Fun for youngsters with a putt putt green:) Volleyball and tether ball game areas need some weeding and tree trimming. Basketball backboard needs replaced with hole in backboard. The benefit of a keyless entry is great! You will enjoy this visit! Thanks, Phil:)

Home away from home
This home is beautifully decorated, Well stocked kitchen, very clean. My son and grandsons enjoyed the putting green, pool, and grilling area..This home is just a three minute drive to the beach , close to restaurants, grocery stores and local activities.Phil, the owner was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, directions to the beach and was very quick to respond to any questions that we may have had. This was a very positive experience and we will definitely stay at his home again when in the Outer Banks area
