Absolutely beautiful house and location. The view from every room in the house is breath taking. House is very well equipped. Rooms tastefully decorated with a masterpiece in everyone! Wonderful mornings spent spotting Seals, Otters, Herons, and a wide variety of birds including the odd Eagle along with the four Orcas and two deer who appeared the day before we left. Communication with owner and family was very pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend this property.

One of the best locations I have ever been.
My wife and I have travelled fairly extensively. We have stayed at VRBO’s in several different countries and this is likely the nicest, most complete property we have ever had. The interior was well appointed and very high end with superior modern comforts. The location is impossible to beat with the most incredible views. I have absolutely zero negative comments about this place. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful. He gave suggestions on how to navigate the ferry and other subtle nuances of travel. Great place and I will be back.

Spectacular Scenery All Around, Panoramic
The views from every room were incredible! We saw sea lions, sea otters and eagles! Best place to stay for prime hiking. Able to access trails right outside the back door. We hiked everyday - each trail had unique scenery. The house was fully equipped with cookware. The beds were super comfortable with a variety of pillow options. The only downside was the spotty wi fi connection.

Refreshed Our Souls
This was exactly what our family needed. Very secluded, quiet, peaceful, calm and amazing! The location is unbeatable. Beds were very very comfortable (our group had a few people with back issues) and the kitchen has everything you could possibly want. No one could be disappointed. Saw lots of seals and birds but unfortunately no orcas. I guess that means we just have to come back! Kyle was very quick with his responses but we really didn’t have any issues. Thank you again for sharing this amazing piece of paradise!

Idyllic Retreat
This is a spectacular property on the edge of a low-slung rocky shore in the midst of an old-growth forest - very private, very peaceful. Easy walking trail through the woods to Moorecroft Park, when we could pull ourselves away from the view on the porch. The house is well-equipped and comfortable, although we found the mattresses on the beds much too firm for our creaky bodies! This hasn’t prevented me from booking again for next year.

Better than I could have ever imagined!
I rented the home for 3 weeks, inviting family and close friends to come experience Nanoose Bay with me. Being in the area brought back so many memories of my time on the island with my husband. I enjoyed sharing these with my family. The sunrises and sunsets are as beautiful as I recall. The frequent visits from the deer and fawns were such treats, as were watching the bald eagles, boats and cruise ships go by. We spent countless hours sitting with the binoculars in hand as we gazed out to the ocean, looking for the slightest movement of fish jumping, otters peeking above the water, and the occasional kayakers. The home was better than you could begin to imagine. Every kitchen gadget need was easily located, the kitchen furnished with so many items you may need during your stay. The beds were comfortable, and I highly suggest you sleep with the windows open to enjoy the ocean waves crashing against the rocks as you drift off to sleep. Communication with Kyle was very easy. He was responsive, patient and kind as I navigated the modern gate, Wi-Fi and tv remotes! Kyle was quick to respond and address every need this old lady had, from my inability to find the gate box (the one I passed heading to the gate) to not knowing I needed to unplug at the wall instead of the router for the Wi-Fi. Kyle was very patient as he talked me through these steps. We thoroughly enjoyed the slice of paradise Kyle has chosen to share with us, in fact, I’ve booked 3 weeks again next year.

Blissful Retreat
We stayed at this property for our first trip to Vancouver Island and it did not disappoint! The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a week’s stay. The views from the house are spectacular and we got see tons of wildlife while we were there. We all left feeling very relaxed and only wishing we had more time to spend there!

Heaven on earth
My husband, two adult daughters and in-laws stayed for our Spring Break. I never wanted to leave the property. I woke every morning and watched the sunrise and every evening the sunset. The sea lions and otters swam back and forth all day. There was a doe and a fawn that seemed to live in the woods nearby and the eagles were teaching their young to fly. Staying here was healing. We live in the states but I sure do hope to make it back some day! :)

I went with my husband and a group of 4 adult friends. When we pulled into the driveway and saw the house - I just couldn’t believe how beautiful it was! The property and location is magical. You feel isolated and like you are on your own private island, but you also have a quick 15 minute drive to the store. Kitchen is fully stocked and then some. Our party just stayed on the property, hiking, cooking, saying hello and watching the local seals and otters… we all agreed it’s the most amazing VRBO.

Spectacular Views
The setting of the beautiful home is magnificent! The sea life is constant and even though it was November, a few of us dipped in the ocean. The kitchen was fully stacked with all the dishes and accessories you would need. A must place to return to. Kyle and his dad was were responsive and welcoming.

One of a kind!
This was our first empty nester’s trip for my husband and I. We could not have picked a more beautiful place! The home is beautiful, has everything you need and everything you didn’t think you needed. You will not be disappointed. The home is set where you get the most amazing sunrises and sunsets! 180 degree view of the sea. We saw many humpbacks (10 in one day!), it’s seal crossing every morning and you see them throughout the day, otters playing on the rocks and in the water fishing and we had a mama deer and her baby visit daily. I would definitely love to visit again, I’m so sad to be leaving! Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Perfect spot to do as much or as little as you want…
Great property that is super clean, well maintained and even better than any pictures can convey. As mentioned in the title, it is a perfect spot to explore Vancouver Island from whether via road trips, boat rides, sea planes, etc. or do as little as you like. The views from the house and property are fantastic and the house is set up to fully enjoy the surroundings. It was particularly nice to go for a long hike nearby, return to the house, jump in the pacific and then into the hot tub.

Exceeded all expectations! Simply Amazing…
What an amazing place to stay! Morning coffee looking out over the ocean, watching the boats go by, the seals and even spent a morning watching Orca whales swim by while relaxing in the hot tub. Our family had an awesome experience at the house and felt like we had an escape from reality. The house was well equipped with ocean views from each room. Breathtakingly Beautiful
We just spent 5 peaceful nights at Beachcomber. We feel refreshed and energized from staying at such a majestic location. The house was magnificent. It had everything you could possibly need, and so much more. The ocean views from every room are breathtaking. We really enjoyed being surrounded by nature as we walked through the many hiking trails. It was lovely to see so much wildlife right from the patio, and as we relaxed in the jacuzzi. Latest of several stays
We stayed here several times, but were forced to cancel our 2020 and 2021 reservations because the Canadian border was closed to U.S. travelers. It was delightful to be back again after those absences and we look forward to returning again.

An incredible getaway

Best family vacation
Stayed an entire week with our adult children and their signifant others. Could not have imagined the beauty of the house and environment. You just have to be there. Hot tub was in use constanly. Six prairie gals loving ocean life for a week, upscale house with unbelievable views!
We picked this stunning location to celebrate the fact that six of us friends had made it through half a century together, and never regretted our selection once. From the stocked kitchen items to the plush towels and everything in between, we loved it. The views from every room are amazing, and the hot tub with the ocean view just can't be beat. We went on daily excursions, and always looked forward to returning to this rental at days end to unwind and rest up for next day's adventures. Sunrises enjoyed on the deck, watching the seals swim by as we soaked in the hot tub, eagles soaring overhead, a deer in front of the patio doors, and an otter who almost came up on the deck with us ...we'll have the best memories for years to come. Kyle's dad popped in to check on the hot tub when we had a question, friendly, and very willing to share his knowledge of the area with us, we appreciated him so much! Rent this place! Don't hesitate, you're gonna love it!!

A Private Oasis
We are a group of close knit friends that travel the world together. This was one of our best and most relaxing trips. We experienced some exciting weather that kept us indoors for a bit but the house and view was so lovely that it was a pleasure to hunker down. The kitchen is very well equipped and we were able to prepare some nice meals. Nice restaurants nearby and beautiful walking trails. We hope to return again.
