I always try to hunt out traditional hotels and inns when travelling, and this looked perfect on the hotels.com website. I was not disappointed. My room (The Bells) was a good size, with a comfortable king size bed and immaculately clean. The ensuite bath (with overhead shower) was small but functional and again, beaurifully appointed and clean. I was travelling with a colleague who reports his room was eaqually as nice. We ate in the restaurant, and whilst the portions could be considered slightly small the quality of the food was top notch. The barman was very friendly and keeps his beer well. If I had one tiny criticism it would be road noise from the traffic in the morning (my room was on the front of the building) but to comment negatively almost sounds picky. A fabulous place, highly recommended.
