The building was beautiful. Love the downstairs lobby, the fireplace, dining room, coffee and breakfast area. Everything was clean. Rooms well-appointed, updated. Great location, walkable (about a mile) to Broadway. One big problem, and the response I got from the staff was lackluster to none at all. I complained twice about the staff letting the room doors slam while cleaning. I was told they would “let them know.” There is something about the sound, the way the building is built or the materials, the acoustics, but could hear just about every door on the hall slam. Now add to that the voices in the halls, it’s a wonder I got any sleep. Some reminder signs to keep voices down and to not let doors shut may be enough. There has got to be some aftermarket product to dampen the noise in there. I love LaQuintas and have stayed in many. This by far was the nicest, but I can’t go back. I need a place I can sleep in and the reaction by the management on hand was less than accommodating, seemed bothered I had something to complain about. I left feeling like they’re not going to say anything to anyone.
