'My overall experience at Riu was great -it's a kind of bare bones type of resort that has a good pool and is steps from the beach and was beautiful. I went for a solo birthday trip and when I came back to the hotel from my excursion, they had decorated my room with balloons and confetti and brought me a cake that said happy birthday. 'The hotel is in a good location in the centre of Nassau. The state of the hotel is very bad. It is like falling apart. The room had many things broken and had very old furnisher. I can mention a few things that were broken (the window blinds, the curtains, the water stopper in the bathroom). The breakfast was ok, not much choices. The pool was emptied and getting re-painted. The staff at the reception was friendly. The cleaners did their job also very good. '
