'New, clean property and rooms were clean. The rooms are incredibly small like NYC small. What makes up for the small room was the staff. Mary was exceptional, friendly, helpful and delightful! Erin was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious!!!'

'Located right at the start of the Jadranska Mgistrala, this is a great place to start a trip on the iconic road. The rooms are basic, befitting of the communist era building, which retains its original charm. Lovely breakfast included. Staff all very good. I would stay here again.'

'Sir John himself was waiting for us at the apartment complex as we arrived and even helped us carrying our small suitcase up the two flights of stairs. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, had good WiFi, a nice shower and was well equipped. We were not too enamored by the city of Rijeka, but if you choose to stay there, Sir John's Rooms is a safe bet!'

'L'appartamento è situato nella zona del porto, vicino al mercato del pesce e vicinissimo a una serie di ristoranti. Il check-in è tramite keybox. L'appartamento all'interno è fantastico, con arredi nuovissimi e di buon gusto. Ha persino lavatrice e lavastoviglie e quindi raccomandato anche per permanenze di diversi giorni. Ho avuto una piccola difficoltà a far partire il condizionatore, ma l'host mi ha risposto in tempo reale via whatsapp e il problema è stato subito risolto.'

'Vergane glorie, heel kleine kamer, veel muggen op de kamer en in hotel. Het bleek een rokers kamer. Dat was echt heel vies. Ontbijt was overigens prima. Overall te duur voor wat we ervoor kregen.'

'The property was the perfect location. Close to all the amenities and a great coffee shop nearby. The room was very clean, the bathroom was very compact, shower was quite narrow. Elegant & very ornate building with high ceilings. Everything was great, except l didn't realise these older buildings have many flights of steps & no lift. ln this case we were on the 4th floor (9 x flights of steps), so in the heat it was challenging with luggage. For older people, l would give it a miss.'

'Quick communication with the host. Loved the laundry facility in the middle of our 2 week vacation. Clean apartment. Nearby parking lot was very convenient. Excellent burek one block away, across from grocery store. I will crave the cherry strudel forever.'
