The Gulf Island National Seashore is just a short drive down the beach where you are likely to see dolphins frolicking, or rays swimming close to the beach. The turtle sanctuary is also close by, as is the Santa Rosa sound, snorkeling and diving reefs (see www.divenavarrebeach.com to find reef locations and information) within walking distance-dive shops close by, the Gulf Breeze Zoo, and the Blue Angels Museum and practice field. The Blue Angels do a fly by most Sundays between 5-7 pm when they are in town and it is amazing to see from the balcony! Navarre Beach is a beautiful location year round that is a little ways away from the hustle and bustle of the larger beach vacation towns, but offers everything you could possibly need. There are several restaurants within walking distance, multiple grocery stores withing a few minutes drive and a nice path/sidewalk for walking and running.
