Franklin Inn 1st Choice Cabin Rentals Hocking Hills tussen Logan en Athene

The Franklin is een klassiek vakantiehuis in het begin van 1900, gelegen op een steenworp afstand van het historische plein Arts District van Nelsonville. Dit vakantiehuis is perfect voor gasten die het Hocking Hills-gebied bezoeken of voor gasten die een bezoek brengen aan studenten van het Hocking College of de Ohio University. Het landhuis biedt twee woonkamers, een eetkamer, een volledige keuken, 4 slaapkamers en 1 1/2 baden. Dit historische huis heeft prachtig gerestaureerde hardhouten vloeren en originele tijmen van eikenhout in het hele huis. Dit klassieke huis is een perfect toevluchtsoord genesteld in Nelsonville, Ohio.

Neem een half uurtje rijden van je vakantiehuis naar Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle's Hollow of Rock Bridge in het Hocking Hills State Park. The Franklin ligt in Nelsonville, op 8 km van het nationaal bos Wayne. Franklin house

Property was close to hocking hills and Athens. The house has its quirks.It is very big and was good for a long weekend stay. We were a bit disappointed when we got to the house and saw that the hot tub was out of order. The sealing in the kitchen was falling the corner and it wasn’t as clean as we’d like. The town did have a great Italian bakery and coffee shop.

Big house quiet neighborhood

The property was clean and the beds were comfy. You check in down the street at a business about 5 minutes away. They were pretty clear about some amenities may not be available. The hot tub was not ready for use. The neighborhood is quiet. Overall it was a good stay and we would stay again. Bonus close to Hocking Hills

A quiet neighborhood just know it is not an upscale neighborhood but the charm and the quietness is awesome. Loved the huge front porch all the hardwood in the home. Wallpaper was very outdated but brings charm to the home. Awesome hot tub and the fact you don’t have to park on the side of the street

Disappointed in some things

Well The biggest disappointment was the hot tub. It did not look like the one that was in the picture. This one the sides were falling off it was not full they had to send Amanda fill it which he did but by the next day it was full of hundreds of gnats because he did not repair the size it need nail up in place and Nat's got in there terrible so we never could use it and that was one of the main reasons I picked this place because it was a girls weekend and we were going to be sitting in the hot tub. I think I should be compensated for that. And the bathroom was kind of rough not bad I mean clean wise it was fine it was just it looked like it needed some new paint ,wallpaper things like that

Really old house

While I rated this property a 5 based on the questionnaire, the house needs a ton of work. We were there for just a few days I wouldn't have stayed longer. The location was great for our needs. The beds were not comfortable for people in their 70s.

The house is very dated. There is only one full bath when the listing shows 2. The hot tub broke a couple of days into our 6 week stay, The kitchen faucet broke while we were trying to hook the dishwasher up. There were leaking pipes in the ceiling. The cleaning staff never showed up to clean the house. We called about all of these issues and were told they would fix them but never did

The house was very nice, but little dated. I loved the wood work and the furnishings were very comfortable. It had plenty of space to roam, and spread out. We loved the hot tub. It was clean, warm and the perfect spot to relax after a long day of hiking. I would stay again.

Worked great for us

We were in the area to tour Ohio University and Ohio State, so the house location worked great - 15 min to one, an hour to the other. Quiet spot, great house, spacious inside. The hot tub was a nice bonus. Would stay here again.

Lovely stay in Nelsonville

This historic home is on a quiet residential street with friendly neighbors. It's just a block away from the town square with a beautiful fountain on the mall and a lovely restaurant called Rhapsody, a sweet cafe that serves coffee and other treats and food. There's a fabulous Italian bakery as well all within walking distance of the home. The main level of the home hosts a good sized living area and dining room. The architectural details are beautiful. The kitchen is small and dated but has all the amenities for preparing meals and coffee on the morning. We left the filters we purchased for other guests to use. The front porch is massive and great for visiting outdoors. The back porch was tiny but led to a small backyard with a hot tub and firepit. We made smores with the kids and enjoyed sitting outdoors for supper. The upstairs hosts 4 good sized bedrooms and a large bathroom. The downstairs half bath is combined with the laundry room. The decor is very dated but comfortable. While there are aesthetic details that deserve some attention, it was overall a nice place to celebrate our daughter’s & her boyfriend’s college graduation with both families. Carrie was very helpful and we would stay here again.

This house was lovely and comfortable. It is 15 minutes from OU…an easy drive. The house was clean. Some disrepair of the house, but seemed to be, mostly, related to it being an older home. While the written description of the home lists this as a 1.5 bathroom, the section under bathrooms is misleading and makes it appear to be 2 full baths with a “shower/tub combo.”

Absolutely Awesome Place to Stay!

If you read the decription, you'll find just that! This Franklin House is a great place to invest your money and vacation stay! Location is great in relationship to just about any of the attractions in the Hocking valley you can imagine. Easy access, friendly folks everywhere you turn! If you've made the decision to make any or all of your meals at the house, it's actually all there for you . . . even the gadgets!!! If we're ever back in the neighborhood, we'll book this place again for sure! Thanks for making our stay welcome!

This was much better than our previous rental. My only complaints are, it's really just four bedrooms and 1.5 bath, all of the beds are full size so my husband and I slept in different rooms. The wallpaper in the upstairs bathroom has begun to peel, and there is quite a bit of mold in there. We all left with horrible coughs and sore throat so unsure if it's related. The steps are definitely hard, steep, and not good if you have a bad back or kiddos, although they do have one set gated off.
