'From the first to the last minutes we had an excellent stay at 'The Lodge' in Frosterley. We thought it would have been too far to walk to the village. 'As soon as I walked in, I was impressed. Beautiful Naomi at reception had already upgraded my room. Which was warm, fluffy towels, luxury tea tray. The cafe has great coffee served by super friendly Anna. I travel a lot and often skip a hotel b'fast due to the poor quality, but this one was delicious and made from scratch. Yum! Naomi made up the real fire for me so that I could do some work in the lounge before I left. Excellent and highly recommended. '

'I stayed here with my partner for a wedding. I got here around midday and fro that point onward everything was fantastic. All of the staff here were so friendly and accommodating, even arranging taxis for us and then keep an eye on them to arrive while we had a beer.
