Cal kingsize en queensize bed, zoals twee grote slaapkamers met twee badkamers, er is een tweepersoons opblaasmatras beschikbaar. Op maat gebouwd huis in 2017, gewelfde plafonds ruim, gezellig en comfortabel. Houtkachel voor die gezellige nachten. Geniet van de oude cederbomen in de jacuzzi. Buiten zitplaatsen onder een overdekt terras en rond het huis. Nieuw landschap met split rail hekwerk. Omheind en omheind met een eigen parkeerplaats off-road in een rustige parkachtige omgeving. Hangmat om onder de koele schaduw van bomen te liggen. In de lente bloeien de kornoeljes, de zomer is het tijd voor de rivier, mountainbiken, wandelen en twee meerkajaks met reddingsvesten om van Scotts Flat Lake te genieten. Herfst is spectaculair met kleur, de winter heeft een rustig bed van sneeuw die komt en gaat, de skigebieden liggen op 30 minuten afstand. Nevada City en Grass Valley zijn vijf tot tien minuten rijden.

Quiet Getaway

This was a great home base for exploring the area! After a 5 minute orientation, we were able to enjoy everything the place had to offer. Everything was clean, easy to access, and most importantly, our stay was quiet and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to decompress.

Relaxing stay

My daughter and I came here to decompress after a stressful spring. The location is among beautiful trees and is very quiet. The house furnishings are lovely. The kitchen (which we didn't use much) is fully stocked with quality utensils and small appliances. The hosts are very welcoming, meeting us to explain all the features of the property, providing NA beverages and coffee and even stopping by with homemade cookies!! Although we didn't use the hot tub, we did inspect it. It is perfectly maintained - no foul odor or color from poorly tested water. Easily accessible location from Hwy 20.

Perfect Getaway

VRBO photos don't do this place justice - it's even better than advertised! It was in pristine shape and was perfect for the two of us during our "snowed in" stay, with an extra bedroom and bathroom available for a couple more if needed. Vince and his son Jonah were extremely helpful hosts. They lived nearby and were always quick to respond when questions arose. Although the entire area was blacked out due to severe storms, their generator provided constant power throughout our stay. We hope to return in the summer!

We had a great time at this rental. The location is not to far from town and was just far enough to be quiet. The host was great as we meet him when we arrived and he went over all the features of the property. When we arrived it was great to see some Christmas lights and a tree. Perfect stay!

This is a beautiful property - one of the best I have stayed in. The house is very well built and the finishes are high end. Beds are very comfortable. Very quiet location. I was a bit concerned about 1 heating unit for the whole house, but it kept all the rooms warm. We had a fantastic time and will definitely stay here again.

We rented this place for two nights for our anniversary. It is a beautiful home, set on a peaceful landscape. The hot tub was an amazing bonus. The owners are great. We met with their son Jonah. He is a great guy! Showed us around and was available for any questions or emergencies. Highly recommend this place. Looking forward to booking with them again!

Another great stay

My husband and I just completed our third stay since May, as we needed occasional temporary lodging due to our nearby house remodel. As usual, all went smoothly, and we enjoyed spending time in a different Nevada City neighborhood, which is slightly cooler than our house given the cottage’s higher elevation, and is closer to Lake Tahoe, yet an easy 10 minutes to town. The cottage is also only 2 miles from Scotts Flat reservoir where enjoyed walking the scenic and mostly shaded trail along and slightly above the lake, as well as walks directly from the house on the lightly trafficked road. The cottage and grounds are both well maintained and we liked the high ceilings, open layout, and well equipped kitchen.

Wonderful Getaway

This is a beautiful cottage in the woods with lovely landscaping and amenities. Our host met us and showed us the property and offered help if we needed any. We rented this property for a three day Mother Daughter Weekend and it was everything we could have hoped for. It was unfortunate that it was fire season and one day was so Smokey we could not see to the end of the drive. The house was so comfortable that we stayed indoors with great comfort. When the power was turned off for 6 hours a generation started and we never noticed the power outage. We visited Nevada City several times and found the location a perfect distance from town. We highly recommend this rental.

Great property!

Our recent 10 day stay was our second. Vincent has a great cottage, very well appointed and comfortable. The high ceiling over the kitchen and living area provides a nice airy and bright feel. Beds are very comfortable, and the setting amid the tall trees makes for peaceful and quiet sleeping. The kitchen is very well equipped, too. Last, the location provides easy access to Nevada City, Grass Valley, and Lake Tahoe area towns. We plan to return.

Beautiful house and property

This is a beautiful and well supplied house. The grounds are beautiful with many different shrub and tree specimens. The deck and patio out back are very pleasant. And, the photos are an excellent portrayal of the house. The only draw back for us was that the air conditioning was inadequate. We were there during several 100 plus degree days which are NOT the norm for Nevada City. The house did not cool down because of the high heat at night too. So, not really a problem the owner could anticipate.

Great Place to Stay in Nevada City

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay in this home. The owner's son, Jonah, met us promptly at our check-in time and gave us a helpful orientation to the house and area. The house itself was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed. The bed in the master bedroom was comfortable (we didn't use the 2nd bedroom), and both showers and all other appliances and fixtures worked well. It is in a quiet wooded location, yet only an 8-minute drive to downtown Nevada City. The covered back deck was a great spot to sit and read, and at night, the hot tub melted away the soreness from long hikes we took. The owner, Vincent, really went the extra mile to help us so that we could spend a morning kayaking on a pretty local lake. All in all, we highly recommend this home. Thank you, Vincent and Jonah, for taking such good care of us!

Great cottage in nice location

My husband and I spent two months at the cottage during our house remodel nearby. Vincent and Jonah were excellent hosts, very responsive and friendly. Plenty of privacy with host’s home surrounded by trees and ~ 2+ acres away. We loved the location, an easy 8 mins to Nevada City, ~ 50 mins to Truckee and Lake Tahoe area, 5 mins to Scotts Flat lake/reservoir with its nice walking/biking trail, and many other walking/hiking/biking trails nearby. We found the cottage as charming as other reviews indicated. Nice open living area, with adjoining attractive, well-lighted and well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed breakfast and dinners on the covered porch with the convenient nearby grill. On cooler days in early May, the spa was delightful, too. Bathrooms and bedrooms well appointed; King bed very comfortable. We highly recommend this unique spot.
