Positief: Netheid, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
We originally thought that having an Omni branded hotel within walking distance to Yale at an affordable rate was fantastic. We quickly found out the reason for the cheaper cost. It begins abut the time you want to fall asleep. Around 11pm to midnight the street in front of the Omni turns into what can only be described as a drag strip. For the next 3 to 4 hours you can be serenaded with the sounds of everyone’s car stereo, yelling, engine mufflers, sirens and fireworks (bursting at eye level if you’re on the 17th floor)! Where are the police officers to enforce the noise ordinance, you ask? Watching from the street over or from the top of a parking garage. Luckily at around 3am things calm down enough for you to fall asleep. All 3 nights, and even after moving rooms, it was constant. Staff was lovely and apologetic, but Omni upper management needs to talk to the city. We will opt for a more expensive and quieter location next time.
