Well worth a stay.
Friendly front desk, clean room and morning coffee. Minor maintenance up keep would have given 5 stars but none of the maintenance affected our stay. Would stay again.

Was in town over night, safe place, not new, was comfortable, dog was very pleased. We did have a mold issue in first room given, we moved accross hall to smaller room.

Room was grubby with toothpick on the carpet. They gave us another room but it was still very old and worn out. The entire Hotel seemed very dirty and unsanitary. We booked the last minute so we couldn't get our money back however we still chose to leave and booked another hotel down the road. Do yourself a favor and pass this hotel up. It is definitely not the rating that shows in Expedia

We will not stay here again. In town for my aunts funeral. The room was dirty, no towels, water stains on the wall and it stunk. We arrived late or we would have definitely stayed elsewhere. Do not recommend.

Unhealthy and Disgusting
Upon checking in the clerk told us the elevator was broken and then put us on the 3rd floor. We were put in a room with 2 big canisters of damp-rid and the mold smell was so horrible we were getting sick. My husband went down stairs after 30 minutes of checking in a we were refused a refund so we could go to another hotel. They did put us in the room next door. The smell wasn’t as bad. The pool was full of debris and the pool chairs were in the pool. When asked about the pool the clerk didn’t seem bothered. Sunday morning, no hot water. The 1st floor had a linen bucket to catch the water dripping from an apparent leak. It takes very weak people to refuse a refund to customers who do not want to stay in a hotel full of mold and mildew. That is very unhealthy. Tried calling Kelli and of course there was no answer. We don’t have money to throw away to pay what we paid and then again at another hotel because this hotel can’t fix the problems. That was extremely expensive for the nasty sloppy conditions of this hotel. I expected better from a Candlewood. I did have a reservation for festival weekend but that has been cancelled and we will be staying elsewhere because there is no way we can do that to ourselves again. I will be taking every avenue possible to be refunded for our stay as the conditions are not up to code. It’s honestly disgusting that this hotel is operating in these conditions. We will never stay here again. It’s definitely not worth the price and your health.

It was convenient for the function we attended. Hall flooring poor. Elevator old. Furniture in rooms old and worn. Linen had moldy smell, one mattress had blood stain. We had to take our soiled towels to front desk !

No hot water! Had to check out midway through stay to go find another hotel with hot water. Manager tried to change room but still no hot water! Did allow me to check out and not charge me for the remaining days of my reservation.

Tabasco getaway
My sister and I wanted to get away for a couple of days and this was a great place for us. It was conveniently located as we planned to visit Avery Island. The hotel was clean and quiet. The room had lots of space and the beds were comfortable. Our only complaint was the microwave did not heat up, but that didn't affect our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay.

Do not stay here
I checked out after being there for 2 hours. I was not eligible for a refund and paid for two nights. That’s how bad it was. I left and accepted the loss of refund. Filthy, smelly, holes in walls, roaches in bathroom, sketchy people outside, screaming from next room, and extremely uncomfortable bed. Do not stay here. Save yourself.

The location is very convenient and overall the facilities seemed clean. The one thing I didn't like is that the humidity was high and there was a slightly moldy smell in the building and particularly the room.

I was a bit unhappy this stay. Upon checking in, I was told there was no hot water and did not know when it would be repaired. I was given the option to cancel my reservation but could not refund my money because I had booked through Expedia. It was late and I chose to stay. I could not get my tv to work so I tried to call the front desk….my phone did not have a cord and wasn’t working. I went to the front desk and the woman came to my room and got my tv to work but the remote had to be right near the tv and I had to punch in each channel number, wait a few seconds and finally the channel would come on. Well, I eventually turned off the tv and then the next morning, couldn’t get it to work. That evening a different employee tried to get the tv to work but was unable so I was moved to another room with a working tv. Also, at that time I inquired about the hot water and was told it was working. I have stayed at this property multiple times and this is the first time I have had issues.

Hi Carolyn, I am so sorry to hear that you had this experience at our property. This is not something that we have often as you know from your previous stays here with us. While yes, we have been having issues with having lukewarm water, we have been working with all of our guests to make sure that a sufficient resolution was reached, which included refunding prepaid stays. I am sorry that this was not conveyed to you. Our tvs definitely have some quirks but they are all operational. I will be sure to get with my team on making sure that they know how to handle these types of situations in the future.

The hotel was ok for the price I paid, good location, close to the airport, easy access; the only issue I had was the people who were staying there were kind of loud (closing doors, cabinets, with the tv’s), I couldn’t go to sleep the first day I got there like until 2am because the drunk next door was listening and singing country music all night long… And the insulation on the windows is not the best neither, you could hear every car that drove by the hotel… I have stayed in hotels like in Miami International Airport that has a plane taking off or landing every minute and you can’t hear a thing of what’s going on over you; in this room you can hear even the people talking outside…. Hard to catch any sleep (at least for me) with all this going on around you.

Thank you for telling us about your recent stay. We are glad to hear that your property is convenient and comfortable for you while you are with us. I do apologize regarding the hallway. We do our best to shampoo the hallways weekly and have ensured that this has been done. As far as the dishwasher, Since Covid, our standards have changed to ensure all utensils and dishes are sanitized for each guest. Therefore all dishes in the room are kept in the dishwasher which is run each time our housekeeping staff cleans the room. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Disgusting place do NOT stay here!!!! The entire complex STINKS! All rooms have moisture getting in so they’re damp and have carpet! That equals mildew! There were silverfish inside the supposed clean towels & the facial tissues even stunk! Most appalling place I have ever stayed! They had children screaming & dogs barking both up and down the halls. Old window units with obvious mold right above them. Floors that were not carpet were sticky. I don’t even want to know why. PLEASE stay at a Hilton owned hotel if you must be in this area. Not this sh*thole.

This was a last minute reservation after my mother's funeral so we can spend some extra time with family. Easily a place we will stay at again, especially this location in New Iberia. It was a pleasant stay at the end of a hard weekend.

We had a great stay! The staff was very friendly and was willing to help with what ever we needed. The rooms, halls, lobby, and snack room were all clean and in order. We stayed here for a few days after having my gastric stomach sleeve surgery done. I was comfortable even under the circumstances of surgery. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in New Iberia.
