People behind the desks are rude and not friendly at all, feeling irritated, the room was disappointed, a bit old, on the pictures they looks much better

Gewedige locatie. Mooie kamer die netjes en verzorgd is. Goede badkamer. Je kan je koffer er laten staan op je laatste dag. Vroegen zelf of we hoog of laag wilden zitten. Hadden via deze site park view erbij gedaan (en voor betaald). Dit was alleen niet bij hun door gekomen. Zaten hoog, daardoor geweldig uitzicht op het central park. Metro aan het eind van het blok ( beide kanten een andere lijn) Times square is op een paar minuten lopen. Ga je de andere kant op dan zit je zo in het central park. Was alleen jammer dat conciërge aangaf dat de taxikosten en de uberkosten bijna gelijk zijn. Daarom de taxi genomen die er al stond. Deze was alleen 50 dollar duurder doordat wij de heen en terug tolkosten moesten betalen (naar Newark)

Zeer prima hotel, echter aan de dure kant
Dit hotel is heel mooi en goed verzorgd. Voor een vijfsterren hotel zou je ook niet anders verwachten. De kamer was ruim genoeg en gewoon prima. Wij hadden echter een kamer zonder zicht op Central Park, dat was jammer. En dat maakte dit hotel voor ons niet veel anders dan goedkopere hotelkamers waar we vorige trips in verbleven. Nogmaals, we hebben het uitstekend naar ons zin gehad. Maar we liepen wel weg met een gevoel dat het allemaal goedkoper had gekund, zonder in te leveren op ruimte en kwaliteit. Hotelpersoneel was overigens top. Ze probeerden ons bij inchecken nog een betere kamer te geven, maar die was helaas niet beschikbaar voor meer dan 1 nacht.

Fantastic location in the theater district. One thing we noticed was how quiet it was at night. Probably good insulation but perhaps location of the building in the center of a block helped.

They said we had a $40 room credit but did not take it off of our restaurant charge, even though I charged it to our room. That was kind of silly and a bit of a let down. The hotel was clean and quiet and had comfortable beds. The restaurant had a lovely breakfast (pricey when they don’t apply your room credit). Location is prefect for park and high end shopping and museums.

Location! Location! The hotel is located on the same block as the Carnegie Hall, a few blocks from Central Park, and the most luxurious shopping of NYC! The entire staff was nice and helpful. The restaurant has excellent food and five star service. It is an older Meridian but the room was clean and the sheets were crisp. Since I don’t go to NYC to stay inside of my room, the age of the hotel didn’t bother me at all. I would stay at this hotel again!

We had paid extra for a park view, concierge room floor. We were not given a park view room, in fact the room wasn't even on the side of the building that faced the park. And we were forced to pay an additional $100 for the concierge. When I expressed my dissatisfaction they said there was nothing they could do, but that they would refund the $100 and give us Marriott points, but they did not do so. I inquired to still request what they promised, but they have not yet responded.

Hotel was clean and we didn't hear any noise at night. Although the mattress was comfortable, I did not like the platform bed as it was very low to the ground. The phone in the room didn't work so we had to call the front desk from our cell phones. Our tv also didn't work and then it just started working again. Although there is a resort fee, they give you a $40 voucher for food and drink in the restaurant. We used it for breakfast, which was really good.

Nice, safe location convenient to Central Park
Perfect location! With a subway stop down the block and a grocery store steps away, this hotel was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. The area is very nice and safe. We got some vouchers for the hotel restaurant and were surprised at how good it was - Grill 57. I’m not sure if it was new, but the servers did seem a little discombobulated. Regardless, they were nice. Without the vouchers we probably wouldn’t have eaten there based on the prices. Our room was on the 7th floor and had no special view, but it was very spacious and clean. The bathroom is so beautiful! No complaints about the room except our fridge didn’t work, but it wasn’t a problem. This was a great deal and we had a great time. I wish I would’ve checked out the rooftop bar…next time!

Great comfortable hotel very good quality price and great location. Checking was a breeze.Rooms are very nice and quiet.Only bummer the view of Central Park is none existent since their is a gigantic building been erected across the street… Seriously this is definitely a keeper will be back in June and August as long as the price stays in checks.

When I arrived at the hotel around 10pm, my room was freezing and after a few hours the heater still did not kick on but I was too tired to do anything about it. The shower in the morning was completely clogged and almost over flowed. I let them know the next morning and by the time I got back it was fixed. I then noticed very old pizza in the fridge that was left from a past guest. It’s a noisy neughborhood but that’s midtown for you. I needed to stay close to my office otherwise would never stay up there. Overall didn’t love my experience and will be stay elsewhere next time
