Eerste dag bij aankomst, receptioniste was zeer ongeïnteresseerd, de overige dagen was er zeer vriendelijk personeel. Her hotel is zeer goed gelegen, dichtbij subway , zicht op de Empirestate building. Wij zaten wel op de 15e verdieping, 2 liften dus je hoeft niet lang te wachten. De rooftop bar is de hele tijd gesloten geweest. Ontbijten beter ergens anders gaan doen. Kamers zijn prima, goede bedden, stil. Prijs kwaliteit is prima, zou de volgende keer misschien wel weer boeken.

Hotel cancelled my booking and became impossible to contact to arrange alternative. I stayed in Made hotel nearby, and in passing, had a look. Entire hotel had been booked out for a military event, and not "refurbishment" as they had said in their email. Absolutely dreadful, complete lack of honesty and service, and a place I will make a point of telling people to avoid.

The Paul is closed to the public & didn't help us
Within 48 hours of our check in time, we received emails The Paul saying that our reservations had been cancelled because the hotel had been taken over by the military for asylum seekers. We called The Paul and could not get through to the front desk or a voice mailbox. We saw on social media that other people had arrived at The Paul with no message at all, only to find the hotel closed to guests. We called Hotels.com for help, who said that our booking was still confirmed -- The Paul had not communicated to the booking agent. Only when they made several calls to The Paul themselves did they realize the problem. Hotels.com staff were FANTASTIC and found us five rooms in another nearby hotel, so all ended well, but only because we were able to spend over 2 hours on the phone figuring out a solution with Hotels.com. The Paul should have done more to convey all the necessary info to Hotels.com, and with more time to spare -- it looks like they've been closed for weeks.

Über das Hotel kann ich leider nichts sagen, da wir bei Ankunft direkt von einem Militär und Hotel Mitarbeiter, die am Empfang saßen, an ein anderes Hotel geschickt wurden. Grund ist uns nicht bekannt!! D.h. erneut Uber gebucht 10-15 min gefahren, wird uns am Empfang dieses mal gesagt, dass eine Barzahlung vor Ort nicht möglich ist! ICH HATTE ES IM VORAUS MIT BARZAHLUNG GEBUCHT!!! Der Mitarbeiter am Empfang war aber trotzdem nett und hat versucht uns zu helfen. Nach ca. 1 Std. warten wurde uns gesagt dass wir nun mit der Kreditkarte zahlen können. Eine Benachrichtigung voraus von der The Paul Hotel wäre hilfreich!! So könnten wir uns das Kopfschmerzen und Zeitverlust sparen... einfach nur peinlich..

When we arrived the hotel was closed and we were instructed to go to a different hotel 20 minutes away. The new hotel did not have a new reservation for us so we had to sit on hold with expedia customer service for an hour. Would have been nice to be notified of the change ahead of time.

Consistently comfortable in excellent location
This was probably my 10th time staying at the Paul. Consistently comfortable place to stay in a really great NOMAD location. Staff was professional, good bed, decent sized room with good view and well designed. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Nor Lux but solid place I will definitely stay at again.

I have never gave a negative review to anywhere I stayed before like this one. I have never stayed at The Paul Hotel before and thought to give it a try. Booked almost 3 weeks ahead via Orbitz and paid extra for 24 hour cancelation protection. Got an email from Paul Hotel after the cancelation period "The Paul Hotel is closed to the Public and we will need to relocate you immediately to TRYP". Then got charged extra by TRYP. I talked to Orbitz and they have assured this is against their policies. I do NOT recommand The Paul Hotel and will not book it for myself again.

A TRYP not to remember.
Well, had I actually been able to stay at The Paul Hotel, I might have been able to actually review it. At 1:00am on the day of my stay, I received an email from Hotels.com that The Paul was unable to fulfill my reservation and booked me at a nearby hotel. I was displeased by this and contacted Hotels.com for more information later that day. I never received confirmation that this was officially booked until I contacted customer service. I was booked at a chain motel nearby. I booked The Paul because I wanted more of a boutique experience for a fun evening out. They booked me at TRYP by Wyndham. This hole in the wall hotel was far from luxurious. It was an economy hotel at Boutique prices. The morning we checked out, the maid knocked on our door, so I put the DND on the door. Then, around 11, she knocked again and I answered. She asked what day we were checking out and after I responded she said well checkout is 11am. And I told her that the sign on the door said 12:00pm. She huffed and said well it's 11:00a and walked away. I don't really have faith in booking through Hotels.com anymore. I am unsatisfied in the hotel they booked me in and hope that this is not how all customer interactions are. Next time I will just book through a hotel directly.

Room was barely adequate. Very minimal amenities. I was kicked for the final night of my stay due to a "maintenance issue". Don't know what that was. Was not notified by management until my return at 11pm, even though they had cell phone and email info. Had to pack up and get a ride to the substitute hotel across town.

I like the convince of being close to MSG and Broadway. I didn’t like the fact the AC wasn’t the best. My tv didn’t work and the technician never came back to fix the tv after I reported it not working the day I checked in. It was a room and bed to sleep in so can’t complain. But for the price it could have been better amenities. The bar wasn’t even setup or functional.

We had reserved a queen room but we’re given a room with two twins. We weren’t even going to bring it up as we really just needed a place to sleep after a long day in the city. Instead we came back to the hotel to find MULTIPLE roaches. We are currently seeking a refund.

No a/c working, never engineers come to fix the a/c, light’s no Working, no ice accessible, bad odor, bad front desk staff, so sad for VIP from Expedia Recommendation, on my Friend Birthday staff said they will fix everything and never staff did anything … so unprofessional from front desk, telephone never works for internal hotel calls for service or front desk, THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER … terrible experience … no backup rooms and we finished at hospital for opening windows all night … shower handle was broke … SO DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE … I deserve a certificate for a new and clean experience by The Paul or refund of one night minimum.

Overall, the room had a really nice view but the front desk staff was sometimes difficult to deal with. There is a $21/day service fee, which is supposed to cover water and snacks daily, and wifi. During our trip, our water and snacks were never replenished and when we reached out to the front desk, we were given attitude. In addition, there was mold growing near our sink and we mentioned this to the front desk. They told us they would have housekeeping look into this, but nothing was ever done during the entire stay.

I usually don't have time to review hotels but will take the time for this one as I have seen so many negative comments about it. Just to be clear I'm not affiliated with this hotel whatsoever. I'm just a frequent traveler and can say have learned from experience. This hotel is located in Midtown Manhattan, close to almost everything New York has to offer to its tourists. I stayed in a 2 bed room, my bed was comfortable which is a must when I travel. I had plenty of soft pillows, dark blinds, and that's all it matters. Now, rooms are small, it's New York! can't expect more unless you stay on a 5 star hotel and even though I doubt they have bigger rooms. Bathroom was small but enough for two people who only showered and went out to explore. Overall was clean, staff very friendly, they even allowed us to leave our luggage way before our check in time. If I had issues with my room? don't we all? but they were very quick to fix it. I would not change anything about it because I had everything I needed and more!

Room was comfortable and clean. They only thing is that the windows were so dirty from the outside it was hard to see out of them. Get a window washer!!!!!!!!

Habitué des hôtels à New York, je n’avais jamais laissé d’avis sur un hôtel, car toujours satisfait, mais The Paul est tellement pitoyable, que je me dois de le faire… L’espace dans la chambre est inacceptable, exemple ; il y a environ 40cm entre le lit et la porte de la salle de bain (qui ne coulisse que si vous mettez toute votre force et vous vous appuyez sur le cadre pour la pousser). Les lits doivent faire moins de 140cm, ce qui est très limite pour deux adultes et un hôtel 4*… La condensation est tellement importante qu’elle ruisselle sur la tablette intérieure et le givre arrive même à se former à l’intérieur de la chambre lors des grands froids. En plus de cela, le mobilier est mal en point et ne ferme pas toujours correctement, l’éclairage du miroir de la salle de bain ne fonctionne plus, le boîtier de commande de Clim ne tient plus au mur, le réveil est complètement cassé et recouvert de poussière au fond de la tablette, la prise USB de la table de chevet est détruit et certainement d’autre choses que j’oublié… Parlons de l’hôtel en lui même maintenant. Le hall n’était pas chauffé (ou presque), peut-être 12 ou 13°C (pas cool pour le personnel), le restaurant au -1 sert de stockage pour des 10aines de bloc de Clim et est donc fermé, le bar est à l’abandon, vidé de toutes ses bouteilles et personnel et les tables sont bougées tél un squatte au grés des envie des clients. En une phrase, un hôtel glauque qui ne nous laissera pas le bon souvenir d’un Noël à NYC…
